Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
A plumber from D & G Plumbing was called out to our business to repair a drainage problem in the parking lot. His office said he would be out that same day. He did not show until the next day, and sat out in front of our building because it was raining, pretending to not know where we were.

It took a total of four visits: one visit to realize he had to rent equipment to drain the standing water, one to drain the standing water, one to attempt to replace the broken pump with the wrong part, and finally one visit to use the correct replacement pump. And in the end, he attempted to sabotage his own work by trying to cut one of the lines on the pump until our head of office stopped him. The entire process took almost a month.

Their office was not helpful either. The lady I had to speak with many times, made promises about his promptness "Oh, definitely he'll be there. I wouldn't say it if he weren't going to be" and "he'll be there within the hour" Only to hear nothing until he finally shows up 2 days later. One time the plumber called to say he was still looking for the pump after she'd said he was on his way to us (within the hour).

What a nightmare! Instead of simply doing the job and getting paid, D & G Plumbing showed their lack of integrity and proclivity for spite. It's about time they stop trying to run a business because they're bad at it. Otherwise, do it right and provide a service. If you do business with them be prepared to be treated like you're doing them a favor.

D & G Plumbing was called out for a stoppage in their parking lot from kirsten (an employee). We dispatched a trained technician who responded promptly with a sewer and jet machine loaded on trailer, only to find a loading ramp for tractor trailors , filled with water in excess of 4 feet high , in the middle, where apparently two sump pumps where located. (pumps for discharging rain water out of the ramp) Our technician evaluated the situation and told kirsten that the water would need to be evacuated in order for us to service them. This all took place late Friday afternoon. Technician informed Kirsten that we would return on Monday to evacuate water with rental equipment, capable of removing such a large capacity of water, so access to sump pumps could be achieved and then serviced, and authorization was given from Kirsten. We returned on Monday, technician set up equipment and monitored all activity. After all water was evacuated, we evaluated the sump pumps, and two needed to be ordered. We then gave price and availablity to owner (Darlene) and she authorizied us to go ahead. She was also told that it would take at least a week for the sump pumps to be delivered. As far as Darlene saying that It took almost a month, we have paper work from the start of job to finish, and that it only took 2 weeks. Darlene seems to over emphasize on this whole matter. Bottom line, after D & G Plumbing, did a quality job and was all done with work, Darlene did not want to pay for job, she hung up the phone on our office personal, and said she is not paying the bill. How she neglected to leave that part out in her dispute above. As for all of us contractors , who are in the field , trying to make a living. we all no that when a customer doesn't want to pay his or her bill, what rights do we have? Its easy for Darlene to say she is not paying for the job-AFTER IS WAS COMPLETED! WHAT NERVE SHE HAS. We don't need people like that! She owns Applied Technology in Castle Hayne, NC--- So contractors out their--Please BEWARE! She will hire you to do a job , and when its complete, she will REFUSE to pay!! As for all Contractors out their, Beware Some Big Businesses don't pay their bills either, and when all is said and done, its the fair business man with a license who has no rights in the end. Its amazing that people can get away with this. If anyone out their has any questions regarding this matter, please feel free to call us, as they say in this world their are three sides to a story, yours, mine and the truth. When their is a problem like this- who does the contractor call? Debbie Wilmington, NC
