I have a 2000 Dodge intrepid that the engine is trashed the timing chain went out at 43531 miles i bought this car new with 6 miles on it bought and extended warranty for 7 yrs 72000 miles. They are refusing to pay because of sludge.

I have documentation that this is a ongoing problem with this engine which is a 2.7L. As a matter of fact not only this engine or vehicle there are quit a few other makes and engines that are doing the same. I have done regular maintence on my vehicle and the only thing i am guilty of is not having receipts showing I bought oil and filters.

I have been with out this vehicle for a month now and nothing is getting resolved. The warranty company did finally over to pay 1000 wow but the motor is going to cost approxiamatly 5500. I paid 1300 for and extended warranty for this vehicle so I could have piece of mind when it needed something done..Not so I would still owe 10000 on a vehicle that is no longer running and it is only 3 years old..

I am aware that DaimlerChrysler is well aware of this problem but they do not care. They just keep changing part number so that they can keep getting by with screwing comsumers..
