First and Foremost I am a former success of the business, I started with Dalbeys info, and caught that he was feeding me to buy more, so I did, but not what the others were.
I soon saw with the Mentoring, that this was a complete ripoff, the courses came so slow, the last technique they gave I had learned and mastered way before I recieved it from the course or how you call mentoring, anyways even that wasn't complete, just setting me up to buy more.
You guys do herass us, it's all over your forum with complaints.
Tellem what you guy's did with ole Dave Butler, the REAL BRAINS of Dalbeys products, when he left the went dead
I have had SUCCESS, unfortunately Dalbey made the road alot harder, the info he sells is on the net for free. Had no success with his course but with my own tracking of info and work yes.
I was done after the Coke and Sex, and it's obvious that this Rep who defends Dalbey so Passionately doesn't know what's going on, on the floor and is probably too busy beating the banks closing hours.
Dalbey's a Big SCAM coming from someone who started with the System, and does need to be shut down.
Customers and Employee's ..... Why won't someone end this maddness, please don't tell me it gets worse than drugs and sex.

I have no first hand knowledge of Russ Dalbey or his business affairs. I received SPAM referencing how single moms are earning 120k per year. I'm always looking for opportunities to increase my income level, though I ALWAYS come here, to Rip-Off Report dot com first. Seems there are many disgruntled customers/employees. As they say, where there's smoke, there's usually fire. Email dumped; case closed. Thank you.

The previous post stating that the Dalbey boiler room operation is in the running for "The Best Place to Work" in Colorado was the best joke I have heard this week!

I have personally seen the cocainne floating around and had sex in the bathroom with a little blonde recruiter, Megan, at the Dalbey. They really should shut that place down. You are absolutely right and this Jon guy has a one-way ticket to hell for backing these crooks.

At the DEI we do not tolerate poor performance. Especially amongst sales people. We hold to the highest ethical standards and we occasionally have to fire someone for breaking those standards. This person obviously has some serious issues with being fired. For a start, if he interpreted our training the way he evidently did, it was due to his own desire to extract money from the customer - which we ABSOLUTELY teach our sales people not to do.
We provide educational services and of course we contact our customers to inform them of coaching and workshop sessions. It is a complete lie to suggest that we 'harass' them.
As for the drugs and so on - it seems this person has an intimate knowledge of something that no other salesperson on the floor is involved in! It may actually be that this former employee was fired for having drugs or alcohol in his system at work. WE ARE UTTERLY COMMITTED TO A DRUG FREE WORKPLACE and this bitter ex-employee may have fallen foul of this policy.
I am always stunned by the reckless lies that an ex-employee can conjure up to try and wreck someone's legitimate business, and it disgusts me that this person is trying to affect or destroy the livelihoods of much better people than he or she.
All in all, this report was a pack of lies. I know because I work here, and I have NEVER seen any salesperson take advantage of a customer, and NEVER seen any of the ludicrous activities he or she claims are going on. Judge for yourself - come visit our workplace and you'll see how professional and ethical we are.

I used to work at Dalbey, too. There is no doubt that Dalbey sales reps are well trained. They literally have their sales pitch down to a predictable science. They know how many rings, how many minutes, and how many ways to use your own psychology on you to get you to buy their product. They are very good at what they do.
What is wrong with the whole deal is that their products are nothing but modern day snake's oil. What "Former Employee" said about ripping people off is very true. Dalbey is king of the upgrade sale. What they do is sell you very elementary course materials when you order from the infomercial. You can't do much with this material they send you. They know that you can't do anything with this material, so they pump your name and contact information into a database for you to literally be terrorized by morning, noon, and night by their very well trained sales reps. They will be relentless in calling you until you pick up. (I was trained to call your numbers 5-7 times a day.)
At that point, they will sell you on upgraded packages by all but telling you that if you spend $2000 you will make $60K + - or that if you spend $4000 you will make a six figure income - or that if you will give them $10,000 you will make a DEEP 6-figure income. The real truth is that all of their buyins give you the same old thing. They dress it up to make you feel like you have more opportunities to make $$, but look at the complaints. They far outweigh the successes. Besides that, it's just very irresponsible to make claims like that because people interpret them as promises to make money for an investment.
The reality is that most of the people who buy Dalbey's stuff are people who have no business going into business because they don't have any understanding of what it really takes to be a success. They just don't understand that just because you buy books or marketing or whatever else that you still have to work...and REALLY WORK to make a buck. The reality is that Dalbey is ripping off these people who will take what a good salesperson says at face value because they're desparate enough to be successful that they are easily tricked.
I remember being shown some of the "recent" success stories of Dalbey...it was interesting that they were all very old and dated. I wondered why there were so few recent successes on record. Could it be that the note business, as it's being taught by Dalbey has changed so much since all of the new privacy laws of the recent years have all come available? Could it be that Dalbey is selling the same old junk that they were selling pre-911? Hmmm...
The only real semblance of a product that Dalbey even has is an internet marketing product they call Master Marketing. They'll sell it to you for $4500...but if you haggle enough they'll drop their pants and sell it to you for around $1500. Their whole goal is to get as much of your money on each call as possible. They will even tell you that if you do as much as get hired there.
The goal for this sales floor, though it's not shared with you until you figure it out for yourself (or you get invited into Russ Dalbey's Millionaire's Club) is to find and list notes on Dalbey's website for he and his investors to buy. Russ Dalbey is the primary investor on the other end of all of this...so what he does is sell you enough information to intrigue you, upsell you into Dalbey's Winners Circle to get you purchasing leads & marketing from his company at grossly marked up prices, get you doing the grunt work of finding people who are in such dire straits that they are willing to part with their equity by selling their notes for fractions of their worth (or spending even MORE money to supposedly have these types of people being driven to you on the internet or by mail drops), so that you can list another goldmine on Dalbey's website- America's Note Network, for Dalbey and his co-hordes to buy.
Something that anyone interested in purchasing Dalbey products should know - The "Winner's Circle" is supposedly the group of people that Russ Dalbey wants to mentor and help become successful. But there's a running joke on the floor about how the only real Winner's Circle at Dalbey is to be one of Dalbey's employees - because that is the only way to make money with Dalbey. And the sad part is that less than a quarter of Dalbey's sales floor is even making decent money. True some of those guys are making $100K +, but most of the rest are living brokebrokebroke, chasing after the golden Dalbey carrot. It doesn't cost Dalbey anything to have those bodies in chairs cranking out 300 calls a day because they are only paid on commission. They don't even get an hourly after they get out of training.
So it's very well thought out. And Dalbey is very good at making money for himself. He's also good at teaching sales people to abandon their ethics in the name of making a good income while smiling at your face and saying the right words. They'll get you excited and hyped up on how it's such a great way to help other people and that you'll make at least $75K if you stick around a year or more. I don't feel it's worth it to sell junk goods to people who are so caught up in their whirlwind of life that they hop on the next bandwagon. I think that is predatory and ruthless.
It's not uncommon to have a sales floor full of drug addicts, sex addicts, and alcoholics, just look at any call center in the country. You'd be astonished on the Dalbey floor though! Just take a look at the cocaine use running all over the floor. Sales managers coked out of their gourds, high and drunk employees/managers, sex in bathrooms, and I'm sure much more than that.
Is it the best place to work in Colorado? Absolutely not. Not even close. Actually, Dalbey should be shut down permanently.

I have worked at the DEI for nine months, during which time I have been promoted twice and have increased my income to over six figures. The truth is, this IS a hard-work environment. For that kind of money, I think that's acceptable. I also happen to know that MOST of the people who have been here a year or more are earning more than $100k.
The problem that this person is describing is more a personal one than a company one. The company offers good training and is very supportive, although you do work long hours for your money. It is currently preparing an application for The Best Place To Work In Colorado - and considering the salaries, the very generous Xmas bonus, the full benefits and all the new things they are doing to prepare the application (better PTO, better healthcare, etc) I think they have a real chance.
It's easy to be bitter if you don't succeed personally, but you have to look at yourself and decide if you really suit a fast, high-demand career. If not, don't work here. If so, the rewards are excellent.
