The following true report explains why I am soliciting complaints against this school.

My return to school at Dalton State College has been nothing short of a nightmare. As a disabled woman who has had vast world experiences and living situations, I am horrified at the unethical actions and practices by Dalton State College and its principals with respect to discrimination, ethics, and what they term as "appropriate" assistance to students with disabilities.

DSC and its representatives are in non-compliance with the Federal Americans with Disabilities Act among many other discriminatory practices toward students of a younger age who may not realize they've been harrased or discriminated against. The student handbook and other handout material is carefully worded to give the impression that they fully accomodate students with disabilities, when in fact, they do not.

On April 16, 2007, I wrote Dr. James Burran, President of Dalton State College a certified, RRR letter giving him 30 days to supply me with a written reply as to the unethical and non-compliance behavior exhibited toward myself by Mary Andrews, of ACE Department, along with the request of the names of committee individuals and their medical credentials to determine who gets what disability assistance from ACE. I have asked Ms. Andrews for this information three times and have yet to recieve a clear and concise answer.

I'm ready to file a lawsuit, not only on this issue but several other discriminatory and unethical behaviors routinely practiced by this "school" including their "we make up the rules as we go along, and what are you going to do about it" attitude. If you've experienced financial, academic, or calendar setbacks as a direct result of questionable business, ethical, or educational practices by Dalton State College.

Don't forget - DSC is in the middle of a $20-million dollar fund-raising campaign. If only their funders knew the REAL story!

Hey Alice remember me thomas from germany. read my report on this rip off college http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/171/RipOff0171972.htm Can't believe that I'm not the only disabled person that was discrimnated against by DSC my friend Alice that I saw on campus it happened to her also. She is a very nice lady they should do away with the ACE Center as they don't help anyone but themselves except to the government money they get. I'm so sad to see that Alice went through it too. I wish the lawyers weren't such cowards so we could fight DSC. They knew I was from Germany and that's the only reason I needed their help they kept on saying you have to show us how you are disabled. Why show them my German Birth Certificate when they already knew where I was born. Then they said then why did you mark English as your language. Because there was no german option on it. On top of all this they are saying i owe them money when i don't owe them a dime they owe me my diploma. its nice to see how americans are ignorant and not helpful i wish like alice there would be a lawsuit against them. But knowing how DSC is they would try to put one against us saying we are slandering their name. how is it slander when your telling the truth. I liked seeing you on campus give me your email address ok.

I too am a disabled person and never received any help from DSC. Mrs. Treible waited a whole year to fill out my paper work. and now they say i owe them money when i don't. they say that so that they don't have to help me with my disability. im from germany and have problems comprehending english as in understanding whats its saying. i think dalton state college is a bad one. The staff are not helpful at all. Thomas
