anything over 5000 owed is a FEDERAL offence and he can go to federal prison. If someone is paying him under the table so that he does not have to pay then the business is liable to the child support. (I owned a business and had an employee that I had to garnish). There is a company in Florida that has been collecting back child support for 23 years. Give them a call. It costs nothing for a consultation. the owner is a private investigator, collector, and skip tracer. They not only garnish their wages but they also put a lein on anything that they own house, car, etc. You can get their info on BBB.com and search "cash flow management system". When you call ask for April. Good luck

..I have a child support case against my daughter's father who happens to live in Jacksonville. And Florida doesn't give two flips whatsoever about handling the enforcement of its' cases. My daughter's father has been in arrears since 2001, and yet they keep calling ME wondering if I know where he is. Uh, hello~~that is THEIR job. I have supplied all information that I have on him. And whenever they DO take the time to contact him or his job, he runs. And when I find out new info to help them out, they act like they could care less. I have contacted them on numerous occasions inquiring about my case and they claim they have no knowledge of his current whereabouts. It's like they don't give a d**n. But then again, this IS a state where convicted sex offenders can roam free to kidnap, rape, and murder innocent children (i.e., Jessica Lunsford). Florida needs to get it together. I understand that there are a lot of cases to handle, but they could do a better job in handling them. I've done more work in finding my ex than the state has. Maybe I should work for them. :)

Florida favors the Mother. You obviously have not gone through the proper channels. Are you collecting ANY public assistance of any kind? If not, all you have to do is file for some and name the father. they will do the rest. This is the easiest way. Just file for food stamps. Done. Or, file a lawsuit on him for the back owed support, then you can garnish his wages, and even cause him to lose his DL. ANY luxuries like boats, second cars, etc. he has can be liquidated by the court. It just takes a small amount of effort, and once they nail him the first time, they will never let up until he is current.
