Lindsay, a pizza delivery girl, has on several occasions been openly rude to me and my co-workers. She gets angry when people do not combine all of the orders into a single one. There are over 60 people where I work and we all have different lunch times. How much time should we have to waste, while on the clock and being paid, going from person to person gathering everyone's lunch order?

One particular day she was standing in my office area with my co-workers all around and told me "You guys need to get your *stuff* together. I don't like coming here more than once per day". She has also made similar comments to other people in the office.

I called her boss Danny whom HAD always been very nice and polite in the past and told him I did not appreciate his employee's rudeness. His response was not satisfying in the least. "What do you want me to do? She is my best employee I am all for employers backing up their people but when they are down right rude to your customers how can you defend them?

Everything was good after that, I had made a few combined and a few single orders after that and beyond a strong consideration of how much to tip a rude delivery person I thought no more of it.

Until today. As my Christmas gift to my near co-workers I offered to buy lunch of pizza *and salad*. I called Danny Z's, normally Danny answers the phones and takes the orders, this time it was Lindsay. I gave her my order and the only words out of her mouth were. "Did you ask around? Does any one else have an order?"

I answered with a curt "NO" and she proceeded to tell me it would be and hour and a half as she was really busy. She then began to tell me how earlier and order had already been made and she would be delivering it shortly and right before she hung up on me she said it would actually be 2 hours before delivery.

I had to call back because she hung up while I was asking for the order total.

(*You might be wondering why I would keep putting up with this lousy company, unfortunately I work far away from any other restaurants and they are the only ones near by that will deliver*)

I sat for a few moments pondering things and then I called them back. This time Danny himself answered. I told him pretty much what is stated above. He said he would talk to her.

45 minutes later a different delivery man brought the food. I was very happy.

Then one of my co-workers approaches me and tells me that Danny called her wanting to know how the personality conflict between Lindsay and me could be resolved. And then she told me never to order from there again.

I called Danny back outraged that he would contact anyone but me and asked why he would tell me to not order from him again. *it was actually my co-worker who came up with that, but that's a different issue*

And again I got nothing from him, no sincere apologies, *at least they all sounded fake and not heart-felt* and nothing remotely close to good customer service.

So, if you are in beautiful Prescott Arizona and want poor customer service and mediocre food, go to Danny Z's, right by the airport.

Some of this report unfortunately is correct, my employee apparently was rude to this customer.  But when I contacted one of her co-workers to try to resolve the issue and get some incite on how to handle it, the customer became even more upset with me.  I didn't realize at the time that her co-worker told her not to order from my Pizza place again.

I'm sure that I could have handled it better, but my employee had never had any complaints from anyone before and she had worked for me for several years.  She has since moved on and hopefully we will not have any more problems like this again. 

By the way this customer has ordered from me several times since this incident.

As far as mediocre food, that comment was uncalled for.  And obviously was only said because she was upset about the situation.  I wouldn't be in business for almost 6 years if my product wasn't good, and my customer service was below par.
