I hired Darkstar Graphics (darkstargraphix.com) to design a website for my new business. The owner, Heather, took the amount of money discussed as a "consultation fee" and then said there would be an additional hourly rate. I paid her a deposit, but decided to go with another designer. When I called her the next day to get my deposit back, she refused!

Well it's obvious you've been crunched and called out for your FAKE report against me... and you still don't have the balls to respond, no surprise there. If you had a legitimate complaint I welcome you to post here or contact me via email. If you've actually WORKED with me before you'd have my email address... since your report is 100% fabricated, you obviously do not have my email address, because you are a LIAR and will go to hell for your lies. Come on, post your response here and tell us who you are, I dare you! I doubt you will since you are nothing but a coward spammer that tucks tail and runs when confronted. Everyone in the area knows I'm an AWARD WINNING top of the line graphic artist. I'm currently rebuilding my webpage to reflect my current designs (the page that was up was several years old with alot of out-of-date information). I welcome LEGITIMATE communications. Spammers, don't even try, you're messing with the wrong person.

Fake report by a fake customer...

This post is nothing more than illegal Libel from a person that I never had any dealings with. First a little background.. 1. I have only done a few webpages for friends or friends-of-friends and have not done so for several years 2. I have never asked for money up-front for *any* webpage I've done. I only ask for donations after the work is completed. (Just time and gas money) 3. The webpage referred to is not for any company, just my portfolio webpage. 4. I have a full time job and am too busy to do any freelance work right now. 5. The spammer who posted this incidently does "web design" himself. Not only is he trying to tarnish other designer's names, but also blackmail them afterwards. I was sent a spam after this was posted (and hit the search engines), advertising blocking this FAKE report from search engines for a mere $599 (Oh puuuleeezzee). I do not respond to BLACKMAIL in any form and this reporter has been reported to the FTC, local police department and the Ohio Attorney General's office. I've also set up an informative page for anyone else who has had a false report filed against them by seoteamusa.com and their band of thugs. Please visit my EXPOSING THE TRUTH website at SEOTEAMUSA.NET where I list the people behind this illegal operation. They are out to scam money from companies by filing these false reports and unfortunately ripoffreport won't do a thing about it. Spam Recieved: Hello! I noticed you have a very damaging Rip Off Report posted online at http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/0/433/ripoff0433003.htm We can help you suppress this negative report deep into the search engines fast! So people don't see it! If you would like us to help just take a look at http://www.seoteamusa.com/repair_your_reputation.htm Phone: 213-291-9195 To Your Success, Sean Dean P.S. Written contract/proposal?

#4Consumer Suggestion

Thu, March 19, 2009

Did the designer provide you with a written contract or proposal for services? If so, did it state that a retainer or deposit would be required to start work and would not be refundable? If so, keeping the money is within her rights. Also, if the designer actually started working on your project and provided you with some output (templates, concepts, etc.) to show for her efforts, she should be entitled to keep the deposit to cover time spent on the project, up until the date you decided to go elsewhere. That's standard practice. Or, if this was a verbal agreement only, with no paperwork, you might have the ability to pursue small claims court against the designer. Verbal agreements are still considered valid contracts in the State of WI. Either way, good luck to you.
