I paid $20.00 on pump number 8 at the Rodeo Drive ARCO station and once I finished I got into my car only find out that the gas gauge did not register any additional fuel added into my tank. I double checked the pump meter to assure that the full $20.00 was registered on the pump meter and lo and behold it read $20.00 worth of gas was supposedly dispensed.
I went to speak to the cashier who rudely told me that it wasn't his problem and suggest I speak to someone just as rude and ignorant as himself. I looked up the company contact info online and was told that my complaint was filed and a man who goes by the name of Dave or David or George Schmook (not sure how the last name is spelled so maybe Shmook or Shmuck) would contact me. 10 days later and still no contact from "Dave". Finally, I contacted customer service once more and was given his direct phone number.
He answered the phone by the name of George and stated he was the manager when he is clearly the owner. He refused to clarify just what his first name is and to top it off he used obscene, racist and foul language in order to get me to drop my request that he look into his broken pump further. He hung on me several times and has now been reported to the LA County Agricultural Commissioner/Weights and Measures. The phone number to reach this poor excuse of a man is (818) 288-5521. They have no proof of your claim. There are a few factors to take into account. First is that IF you pumped your own gas, you would have felt the hose presurize with gas. Second, you could have had at that moment a problem with your float valve. This is the device that does the actual measuring of the gas. It is in essence just a hollow plastic container that bobs up and down given your gas level. Third and most likely. You started the pump and walked away from it. Then someone comes up and steals your gas. None of this is on either the business nor would it be on the manager. Instead of doing the due diligance on your part, you instead choose to post this persons name and contact information online. You do realize that you have now become a criminal?? Youre a cyber bully first and foremost as you have no proof of your claim just your ASSUMPTIONS. Second, it was not your place to put their information online. If something happends to this individual because of your post then you ARE criminally liable as the person who commited the crime.
I would suggest that you get your car checked for float valve issues. Then instead of being a raging idiot, you ask for them to pull up the video of the day of your purchase. Then apologize for not only your sheer stupidity, but for the fact that you put this person in potential danger.
