This was a scam related to the sale of a vintage Mark VI Selmer alto saxophone on Craig's List in place of the boat described in an earlier report.
David Hurst (
[email protected]) was given as the contact person. Mr. Hurst indicated that he also was recovering from a stroke and as a result must sell the instrument.
Purchasers were instructed to send money via Western Union to an agent of "Express Transports" at the address below:
Davis Wettingfeld
206 Rookery Rd
Birmingham B21 9QG
United Kingdom
The Express Transports website appears legitimate:
http://expresstrans.prohosts.org/en/tracking.php
But please note that Express Transport is bogus--- just a cover to funnel money to an individual.
