David K. Jones Sun fiberglass pools Took money..inatalled pool & it is crooked by 2 inches, leaking, pavers are caving in & he disappeared!! Hollywood, Florida
Called Sun Fiberglass pools wanting a fiberglass pool and they referred us to "their" South Florida dealer David (Dave) Jones. He insisted that he has been in the pool business for 30+ years and he has been INSTALLING Fiberglass pools for years. Dave said he would contract all of the work out (like a GC) and have our pool built. Which he claimed would save us more than $5,000. Well...that's when the fun began! He himself started digging the hole for the pool and then (AFTER we already signed a contract with the agreed upon price and everything was itemized in seperate categories) he kept making up more expenses that were not included in the contract. Every week there was another charge and ridiculous story. It truely goes on and on!
He did not dig far enough down so our pool is over 2 inches crooked, it looks HORRIBLE! The pavers are caving in around the entire pool because he didn't fill it or cement it correctly! We had the pavers fixed and they are caving in again! The pool is leaking and we have to fill it every other day! The pool lights are corroded and have blown out because he did not install them the right way and we cant even get to them unless we dig everything up! He recieved new ones from Sun Fiberglass Pools and he took them and never gave them to us or has not answered ANY phone calls in months!! Sun fiberglass pools will not take responsibility even though it was their dealer! We were completely taken advantage of and now have to suffer!
