My wife. kids and I booked a camper for the 4th of July holiday week. We later decided to splurge and change to the new deluxe cabin they had advertised. When changing the accommodations I was told that there would not be and increase in deposit by the employee who handled my reservation change. I had later called on June 27, 2017 to cancel my reservation due to the rain that was forecast for the entire trip. I was not told that the deposit was non refundable and the call ended very quickly. The employee was new and really didn't know what they were doing. I could here Rhonda in the back ground coaching her on what to do and she seemed very short with the employee as well.Anyways I received an email stating that my reservation was cancelled and I forfeited my deposit. I called in the same new employee answered and I asked about the deposit. She stated that it was non refundable. I asked if I could move dates and she didn't know so she places me on hold but I could still hear all the back ground chat. After about 10 minutes sitting there I said "hello" and the girl came back on and said it will just be another minute so I asked her to call me back. I was in a meeting and missed her call so I called back. I then called back and spoke with another employee, re explained everything, and asked to move my reservation date. I asked if my deposit could be used for the new date and she said yes. I then was told that I would not have to pay an additional deposit. This is not once but twice I was told that their would not be an increase in my deposit. Immediately after being told of no increase in deposit Rhonda gets on the phone and I was floored on how she handled the call with me. She must of heard her employee state this comment and directed her sour attitude towards a paying "new" customer. She was extremely crass and short with me. She said normally you would lose your deposit all together for cancelling within 7 days of schedule trip but I will do it just this one time. She then said you are going to have to pay an additional $120+ deposit. I politely told that we were told that their would be no additional deposit. She said NO, we have to pay. I told her that we are military and asked if that is why we were told by 2 other employees that we didn't have to spend the extra money on the deposit. She became very irate with me and condescending. I told her that didn't seem fair due to what her "trained" employees had told me. This is when she became very rude and very unprofessional with me. She said "Do you wanna book this or not?" I said no thank you, Ill take my business elsewhere. After doing some research I have found several complaints about the same issue with this campground. The customer service is horrible, I will never do business with them again. I am calling my credit card now to dispute the charges. I was misled and I feel I am do a refund. BUYER BEWARE!! STAY AWAY!!!
