Daytona CV Axle Car is in worse condition than before I took it to company. I quote "My job is to make money", sales owner told me Daytona Beach, Florida
I took my car to CV Axle (Wednesday, October 10, 2012) after a referral from a professor at my university. The man informed me that he would fix the caliber, rooter, and brake pad on both back brakes as well as the front brake pad. I was also supposed to have my air compressor put in and filled with antifreeze.
I went to pick up my car and was told the price was $506. I asked the mechanic Lew if there was anything else wrong with my car before I leave. He told me no. I paid the man and left the shop; moments later I was back at the shop due to my car shaking and smoking.
I was then told that I needed a new radiator which was an additional $285. On August 21st the car just had a radiator service but two months later this man is telling me I need a new radiator.
I called a friend to come and look at my car. The man told him to go to the junk yard and get a radiator but I quote was not supposed to tell me that because his job was to make money.
My friend fixed the part of my radiator by JB Welding it. Later that evening my car was smoking from another part of my car and would not start. Today (Sunday, October 14, 2012) my car starts and stops when it wants to. It shakes really bad and then will cut off.
I am a college student who does not have $500 to throw away. My car is currently not working and I have to worry about getting to and from work and school. My car is in worse shape than it has ever been. I was ripped off.
