Deceptive Slaes Practices
We recently leased a 2011 Nissan Armada and at the same time purchased a prepaid maintenance contract for $1,600. When Gary and Eric the sales staff were selling us the prepaid maintenance contract we specifically discussed three items of interest:
1) Did the coverage include replacing brakes
2) Did the coverage include use of a loaner car
3) Would we be able to get the vehicle serviced at an Infinity dealer, since Infinity and Nissan are the same company and the Infinity dealer is more conveniently located for us.
The answer to all three of these questions was yes and Eric even told us he checked and confirmed the Infinity dealer question.
When we tried to use the prepaid service for the very first time and we were informed that the contract does not include any of these items. We have fallen victim to deceptive sales practices and we have attempted to contact the dealership without satisfaction. We've also submitted a formal compliant to the Better Business Bureau in Trento This prepaid contract does not yield anywhere near $1,600 in economic benefit to the purchaser and the manner in which it is pitched to the consumer is very deceptive.
