Deborah currently resides in Virginia but owns a furnished vacation home in Florida with three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The home is located in a quaint and scenic gated golf community and is centrally located near restaurants, bars, and the shoreline. My first impression of the house, as well as the neighborhood, was satisfactory. The yard was well manicured, and the surrounding homes were stunning. Deborah rents the home by bedroom; two of the bedrooms are $650 per month, and the master bedroom is $850 per month. Rent includes utilities, water, cable, and wireless internet.

My roommate, Kristopher, was Deborah's step-son. He resided in the master bedroom for free. His girlfriend's dog would urinate on the carpet all the time and was quite a menace.

Deborah requested the neighbors across the street keep an eye on me and communicate with her on a consistent basis about my whereabouts. They told her I was washing my Jeep in the driveway once, and she sent me a nasty email telling me she didn't appreciate me using up all her water to wash my Jeep. There was no trust, and she craves control and micromanagement.

Once, I went out of town for approximately three days, and I left the house with all locks secured. Upon my arrival back home I found that some of the furniture in the house was gone. I emailed Deborah to tell her I had been robbed and was going to file a report with the police, but she told me her husband drove down to Florida to pick up some of the furniture in the house. No one informed me. I did not receive a courtesy phone call or email.

Even though Deborah rents the home out to college students she and her family occupy the home from time to time during vacations. I was not aware of this at all prior to moving in. It was very strange and uncomfortable for me to come home to people I didn't know. She and her guests were very obnoxious drunks and would leave quite a mess all over the house. It was a sure bet that if Deborah was staying at the house I would have to clean up after her. I was studying for my final exams, and she was drinking tequila while playing music very loud. I was forced to leave my own home and study for final exams somewhere else.

Deborah and her husband were both officers in the United States Air Force. I was enlisted in the United States Army. Deborah and her husband would speak down to me almost regularly and regarded my enlisted military status as a joke. They treated other officers like royalty, but if you were enlisted they would treat you like an outcast. Several of my military veteran friends who were also enlisted experienced this treatment from Deborah and her husband first hand.

Prior to moving out of the house myself and my parents cleaned everything very well. However, Deborah claimed the house was in bad condition when I moved out and kept most of the security deposit.
