Long Beach,#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

I worked here as a temporary employee from 8/07 to 11/07. Pretty much everything Truth Teller is stating is accurate. You need to remember that they are a business and it's the goal and ambition of the consultants (ok, salespeople) to gather the necessary financial information, determine the type and amount of debt and give a preliminary cost/benefit analysis. Did I get objections? Sure, all the time. I even had the more common rebuttals pinned to the walls of my cubicle. You might be asking, "Why are you responding if you're an ex-employee?" Revenge? No. Payback? No. I didn't generate enough business, so I got released to the temp agency (although it would have been nice if the employer told me directly, so I could've cleared my desk on my last day). That's the only issue I had working here. If you're in debt and can't pay if off without assistance, this might be a good option for you. If you want to go the bankruptcy route, more power to you. Would've been nice if Truth Teller would use their first name, last initial, unless they have something to hide. Truth Teller preaches integrity, but does anonymity foster trust?

Just like the middle man with many companies that are out in the United Sates. We offer a service and we are paid for our services that we provide. We are honest, ethical, caring and concerned individuals at debt choice. I know for myself and other colleagues that we offer the service to individuals that qualify. Right out of the gate we do that. I believe in functioning from a place of integrity. I also believe people hear what they want to hear and sometimes misunderstand, that is why our company makes sure in many different ways that we are saying... we are a debt referral company, that the first payment comes to us for our services, we have a client agreement and also an initial sheet stating that. Not to mention a voice verification acknowledgement the programs when the person enrolls. You know I get alot of people that simply say "No" I am not giving you my information. We have no problem with that. What ever a customer is comfortable with is fine with us. As a matter of fact we dont need any personal information just for our free evaluation. Its simply that information that is discussed between the customer and the representative of Debt Choice which determins the direction a client needs to move in. There is no need to presure a client or influence them in any way. If a person calls and says they are current and have low interest rates no need to move further. We tell them sorry there is no program here for you. Now sometimes we get individuals that want to get into a program and refuse to see that its not for them. sometimes I think individuals get so over whelemed with there debt situation they are not seeing clearly. There have been many times i received calls from past customers that were so thankful to me for listening to them, and assisting with their financial situation. Who states they are better off now then before. That always makes me feel good. Then there are customers who really dont pay attention and end up feeling like we did something to hurt them when in reality they had the power to just say "No thank you" They chose to be the victim in this situation. Stating that its wrong to be the "middleman" and that we were fast talkers as if to insinuate we misrepresented ourselves. To think we should work for free is nuts I dont think anyone would want to do that. We give our time, talent and attention and provide an ethical service that has worth and I believe value. As for doing it for yourself...Well I will leave that up to you to decide. Working with those collection agencies, well try it... We can also cut our own hair or we can go to a professional!
