I purchased a laptop from dell. When I received it did not work so they had to ship out another one. when I got that and started to set it up I discovered they sold me a modem I did not need and they shipped the wrong software package in the box. When I told them of the issue they told me that was the software i purchased, when in reality the softeware i purchased was loaded on the laptop. They refused to replace what they send with the correct software. They told me I would have to return what I got and purchased what they loaded on my laptop. I ask why? They kept telling me I did not purchase what was loaded on my laptop, I said if I didn't purchase it than why is it loaded on there. They never answered me. I told them that the person who took the order made a change or some one made a change and now I am being ripped off and forced to buy the right software.

yes the software was sent with the first computer and the was the wrong software. No new software was sent with the second one.

Typically whatever software you buy from them is sent in disc form as well as loaded on the computer. So if they got the right software on the 1st laptop, did they provide re-install discs? If so just install it on the replacement one.
