The reviews on google say it all. Honestly, it's that bad. The Conner Center - Department of Human Services completely degrades the poor. It seems that they like to play games, and confuse beneficiaries in attempt to get a rise out of them.
It's very disturbing how they are managing this location... Borderline psychological abuse, not to mention gross negligence.

The numbers are irrelevant without proper context. If there are 4 complaints and thousands of recipients, then 4 complaints don't mean anything. Neither would 50 complaints be very material when thousands are being served. So numbers mean nothing without context.
Let's also remember this is a city that went bankrupt not that long ago. Government services are generally the first thing that get cut in order to recover and exit a municipal bankruptcy. For that, you can blame city management as a whole, not just a specific department.
I suspect that department you speak of still has not seen any sort of recovery since the exit from BK. I am not suggesting the poor aren't suffering, however the poor pretty much suffer everywhere; you can go to any city department and the resources will never be sufficient to help everyone. Putting up complaints of a DHS group overwhelmed with trying to meet the needs of its people and doesn't, I guess would be a ripoff but without context, it's hard to evaluate.

Well Stacey, all I can say is that numbers don't lie. Would you agree with that statement? Based on Google Reviews alone; lots of people are not getting their benefits, and they are not only dissatisfied with the services, but they are also unable to get a hold of their workers.
If this is disorganization is government protocol, then we definitely need some new guidelines asap, because people are going hungry as a result of a failed system. If you are wrong; and this is not government standard, then I would say every worker at this branch needs to be fired, because based on preliminary facts; not opinion, they are not serving the public.

What do google reviews have to do with it? What benefits are you trying to get? I can guarantee there is no mental or psychological abuse that is associated with DHS.
They are a GOVERNMENT agency and have to go by GOVERNMENTAL guidelines when determining benefits period. And NO I do not work for them.
