Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I purchased a pet supply webstore that was advertised in our local paper in December 2009 from a company in Grand Rapids, Mi. The seller claimed to run 3 successful online craft stores generating tens of thousands of dollars monthly. He told us that he & his wife created wanted to sell the pet store because they wanted to focus solely on creafts and the pet supplies sales were too much to handle and they weren't really "animal" lovers anyway.

By accident one day, we came across MANY other websites that carry the same products and even share the exact same testimonials. But they all have a different domain name, different banners and themes. Selling of replicated webstores, in our opinion, is a critical piece of information that should have been disclosed rather than representing our webstore as a solo family-owned, fully-functioning site that the sellers, a husband and wife team, operated. We would have factored that into our decision-making process had that been disclosed. Through the process of information gathering, public records have surfaced which seem to reflect a pattern of disingenuous activities. Advertising continues in multiple-city Craigslist locations. model. We were foooled by Mr Gendron's charm and his abilities to circle talk - answer questions without really answering them or by using clever wording. We asked for our money back but he refused and made threats to shut down acces to our back office.

Our family has run and operated three successful online craft stores, that is true as is the amounts quoted.  We are not animals lovers as they suggested.  And its true, there are many many competitors out there competing in every industry on the planet.   They do all have different banners, themes and calls to female customers, male customers or a spattering of both.

So what.

Selling a replicated store would be the same store WITHOUT the different banners, themes and domain names.  Which one is it?  You cannot have it both ways.

The truth is you purchased an individually unique site carrying the same products that every other pet supplies site sells out there and you gave up.  You quit because you had an excuse to quit a reason to hang your hat and say I failed, I mean I cannot possibly make money because Derek has created and is selling other sites that look, sound and appear different....

It was never, EVER represented as a individual site, in fact you signed a contract that stated the following:

"Seller does reserve the right to create, maintain or redesign similar websites for other buyers"

and

"Buyer acknowledges That seller has made no guarantees, representations, inducements, or statements to buyer regarding buyers expected sales, encumber ejections, or success and operating the website."

Do you dispute that?  I will gladly post the contract for everyone to see.

In addition, our call was recorded (just to prevent these type of blanket statements that are wrong and outright lies to the public) and in reviewing it, nothing remotely similar was said.  I was 100% honest with you.

If you did not succeed in the online ecommerce marketplace selling a huge selection of pet supplies, I am confident and the world would be, that you did not try.  I can post every ticket here you filed, all the help you received and all the ridiculous directions you went in to do everything BUT work the business.  You were afraid of your own performance (that's normal in any business) but to quit and then blame someone else is ...

well

Very sad.  And I have never EVER made a threat to "shut down access to" your back office until you were using our server to interfere with other customers. That is illegal and to this day, you are liable for that.  Keep up posting crap like this and you will end up in court defending it.

He goes by Paul instead of Derek. His mugshot can be found on the web. This guy must be stopped.
