It sounds like you were in prison. Eight hours and no breaks, and such? It couldn't happen in New York.

I agree on those things I think the most outrageous crap with Dial America is that wrap time. That too me is a little annoying because you work so hard to get a sale. Then you are forced to read word for word without any mistakes like a robot and the moment you hang up it goes into wrap time and then all that hard work gets deducted minused from your check in the end that is such bogus unbelievable crap. Especially when you're really aren't trying to loose any money to begin with. Then all that verbage reading word for word long process to begin with and then the fact you can't take a break I agree with that one hundred percent. The company has backward policies at Dial America its corruption ripoff is what it is.
First of all the name of the company is called Dial America so what in the world are you people trying to claim your Wells Fargo, US Bank, MADD so misleading to the public. The script goes like this for Wells: Thank you for contacting the Wells Fargo Activation Line my name is: what a joke. And then all the management wants to make your life miserable because they screwed up to begin with writing the script. Dial America a job where you get ripped off on your paycheck while misleading the public. Yeah I wonder if anyone made a sale that entailed up to ten grand with no wrap time? Thats dreaming at Dial America if you make that kind of money thats when you know the company your at is not a ripoff, and Dial America is a ripoff. Yeah consumers beware of Dial America in the San Diego location.

I currently work for this company. I have a set schedule, same 2 days off every week. You work 5-hour shifts in outbound, with a 15 minute break or 8-hour shifts in inbound with a 30-minute break. Of course you're not paid for breaks! That's why they are called breaks. They are small increments of personal time when you can do as you please. Why would the company pay you for time you aren't working? That's just basic business sense.
It's a part-time job. Therefore you are given no more than 39 hours per week. You ARE allowed drinks at your station as long as they are in a spill-proof container. At the office I work in, they even keep coffee brewed for the employees. You are also allowed candy at your desk, but not food. This is because it would be extremely rude of you as an employee to be chomping in a customer's ear.
The only part of your claims that were accurate is the fact that you are not allowed cell phones or writing utensils at your desk. This is because you have access to people's personal information such as name, address, & phone number. If you work inbound you also see the last 4 numbers of their bank card and social security number. That is to proect their customers, not because they want to make your life difficult.
