DIRECT SAVERS FLORIDA LEASURE PRODUCTS ANOTHER RIP OFF FROM THIS COMPANY BRANDON, Florida
We went to the Hyatt Hotel in Sarasota, FL last April for a talk about
a buying furniture, cars, etc. at a discount by purchasing direct from the makers. If we listened to the
talk we would get "Complimentary 2 free round tips airline tickets
(includes base airfare within the US) and dinner for two at any Darden
Restaurant. Allowing 2-4 weeks for delivery. That was 6 months ago!
This gives them time to cash the $29 check they requested for "processing."
The check was to be made out to: DIRECT SAVERS which was cashed by FLORIDA LEASURE PRODUCTS in another city in Florida! The talk was to be about obtaining furniture, items, etc. as a discounted cost; however, it seems it was really a travel agency. Or, so it seems. Because we didn't sign a contract that day to BUY anything, we were told we could not buy the contract later, but they needed $29 to cover expenses for processing our airline tickets, dinner coupon, whatever.
I was surprised to see the same company was reproted two years earlier than our talk on April 1. 2009. I GUESS THIS WAS OUR "APRIL FOOLS" REWARD!
$29 is not going to break me, but how do crooks like this continue to do it over and over again in other cities??
