I bought a new used house and was ready to move in and I wanted a satelite dish installed. So I called direct tv I made an appointment for my free installiation and free dvr box to be connected. They sent a man from ron's tv to my home. He arrived almost 1 hour early and ended up staying for about 4 hours.

He left plastic shavings all around every tv he hooked up. He left the old satelite dish on top of my shrub, which made a hole in the middle of it. He charged me $150.00 for the install when it was suppose to be free.

When he hooked up the up stairs tv he had a wire suspended in the air in my kids closet. He didn't put the wire in the right place upstairs instead he put it on the other side of the room. He had to charge his phone at my home because his phone went dead.

He left my house twice once to get a flashlight and once to get a drill bit. We finally had to use my phone to contact direct tv and the woman I spoke to said there was suppose to be no charge to me.

Then I find out the free dvr was not free; it was $5.00 extra a month for the box. The installer said if I didn't want it he would have to charge me to rewire for a regular box and that would be $75.00.

If that is not enough he drilled 3 holes in my new tv stand without asking me. It was not necessary it was just the easy way out.

So when I contact ron's tv they keep brushing me off saying they will call me back. They don't so I call them and still the person in charge is not there. Well I finally got a response and the woman from ron's told the installer to call me which I had nothing to say to him. Anyway, he said he didn't drill any holes. Then he said that was the only way get over it. Then he started cussing at me and yelling; I hung up on him.

By that time I mad so I called ron's and told them not to have him come to my home and have someone with some common sense come to my home. They sent a man who couldn't quit saying what a great installer the other guy was. He fixed some things but I still have 3 holes in a brand new $2500.00 tv stand. That I can not replace.

They said they would follow up and have something done about it and they have not yet. That was in November 2005 and it is now January 2006. I call on a regular basis and still get the run around about someone will call you well I'm still waiting.

I would not recommend theses people to anyone. They don't stand behind their work or their promises. They are terrible people to do business with.

Ron lives in a nice big mansion across from carolina springs golf course in the Fountain Inn area. You should find this house and get an address to send correspondence to his home if you cannot recieve any response from his business. I too had problems with his installers and when trying to resolve the problem, they treated us like crap. I always make the time to let people know about bad business in this area. I hate it when people try to hide behind rude secretaries or just dumbass employees to filter negative calls. So, I just do a little research and bother them in person. It gets results!!!!! P.S. Ron moved his office in Mauldin. I think he had to move like most bad companies, when they run into problems, they just keep moving around to avoid litigation and to find new prey.
