Before having service set up with direct tv they said we had to pay a $100 deposit. A deposit that would be applied to the last bill. Okay. After ending service they told me my credit score was too low to receive my " deposit" back. I told them to apply it to my last bill because I was opting out of my contract early and was going to be charged $20 for each rending month in my contract . They wouldn't do it .I told them to adjust my $ 160 bill down to only $60 by applying my deposit. I figured they wouldn't give me cash back. This way I could utilize my own money and not screw up my credit. Each person I talked to gave me as differet excuse of why I would not receive my deposit back. Either my credit was too low. Or that it wasn't a deposit, it was a one time handling of service fee. Or that I paid for the technician to come out...ect. A deposit is just that.....a DEPOSIT! I dont have that kind of cash lying around to be given out freely. if I did, it would go to charity or a person in need. Not big Coorporation!
