I will start off by saying Direct TV are money hungry scum who wants your money and only that. They don't care if you're a happy or upset customer, as long as they get paid every month.

I've had my Direct TV satellite service connected about 5 months ago. All was fine until October. What happened you ask? Well, my signal went out. It went out on every channel except for my 5 local channels. Every other channel had no signal. I called many times to have this problem fixed. They had me reset my server, unplug everything and then some - which nothing worked. Then they said it was because of bad weather. Though he hadn't even have any bad weather so "water damage" to my outside line couldn't be the problem. They said they could fix this for $75. I said hell no. They said they could drop the $75 down to $50 if I added the insurance plan to my account for $5 a month. I did and still said hell no to paying the $50. After a heated phone battle my signal started coming back in the next day! WOW!! This last a whole week and out it went again. Well by this time I was packing to move across town. I called and was having them change my address so I can have my service moved to my new place. What did they say? I need a credit card in order to move my service! "WHAT?!" I said. I've paid my bill on time, every time without a credit card and now I can't move my service without one?! I asked what I do now, they said I need to find someone who has a credit card and user theirs. I asked the agent if I could use his. Of course that didn't help. I then asked what do I do since I have no way of using a credit card and now I can't move my service. "You will need to pay off the current month's bill and then have your service terminated." Fine. But there's more. Even though I have no choice but to have it turned off since they won't let you transfer your serive without plastic I know am now listed for bad credit since I was under contact for 12 months! They still want me to pay off my remaining contract after I was told I couldn't transfer my service?! WHAT!? OH, I DON'T THINK SO!!!
