My contract ended with Directv in February 2008. I pay my account ahead of time mainly because I do seasonal work and get laid off in November.

I had to pay $75 to have a post install in my lawn so I could get "the best reception possible. The charge was for the labor of digging a whole and cementing. Which I took the post out myself and found no cement what so ever. Which would explain why I receive terrible reception and why the post wobbled.

I canceled my account and on Feb. 13, I received no signal. Fair enough.

Then I received boxes from Directv, with instructions to send my 3 receivers back withing 7 days or be charged up to $470. I sent the receivers back the next day.

I then get a statement indicating a balance of -$118.26. This was Feb. 15 statement. And then in March another statement of -$83.31. Now the statement show an adjustment of $34.95. I call and get a reason of some credits I was given and since I'm no longer a customer they would have to take them back. Every statement I ever received had a credit "cash back for 15 months" of $10. But now it's April 2 and this company can't write out a check due me after 6 1/2 weeks for $83.31, and the $75 I paid for a cemented post that wasn't!!!!
