No surprise that our bank also agree to remove the final charge and now we are not going to communicate with Directv again -- even though they already sent stupid, "We want you back" mailings. Yeah right! Also noticed that the boxes at Best Buy now have big bold red tag that state that the equipment is LEASED...bought time 'cause this definitely was not there when we purchased ours eight months back. Guess they learned their lesson from their shady misleading dealings.

Please try to comprehend this, I know a good deal about valid contracts and what corporate America doesn't want you to know is that licenses and lease agreements INSIDE A BOX don't mean diddly. The fact is that you have to activate the box, something a smart individual like yourself is well aware of, so when they said do you agree to the terms of the activation after they were explained, WE SAID NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So what part of NO do you not understand? This is when Supervisor Kevin came into the picture and told us that returning the box was not necessary because they would waive the early cancellation fees and the box was now ours. BTW: HOAs can and do restrict dishes as well as a great many other things...your ignorance of this fact is so obvious that it's really moot. You'll get a lot of laughter from HOA community residents on that comment.

We received a letter from our bank that confirmed the charges were unauthorized and DirecTV lost the dispute. On December 31, 2007 DirecTV again tried to take money from our account. This time they took $220.70 with no billing statement for the charges prior to the debit. We are once again disputing the charges and I was forced to get a new debit card to prevent any further unlawful access to our account. The original supervisor we spoke to was Kevin (ID#403560) who assured us that this would never happen. Later it was Joe who confirmed the charges were bogus. Sadly, you will only deal with lower rung employees whose thinking ability does not surpass the blinking cursor in front of them unless you demand to speak to supervisors otherwise you are just wasting your time. Then when you tire of that, call your bank...they have the time, talent, and resources to deal with them effectively.

First of all the person at best buy is not clear on dtv policy,or dtv is not clear on best buy's policy. Because I have gotten a new box from best buy, and read what was in the box before I hooked anything up. I did ask about the two year agreement,so I knew what I was getting myself into. Second of all your money you are not getting that back, because again in your cust.service agreement section 5 sub section E. states that when you give your credit card or debit card, the compay has the right to charge all outstanding fees. That part I also read before i did anything. So everything was in writing, you fail to read it,you fault. Third thing no hoa has the right to tell no dishes are allow, which country do you live in. If you can read please go to web site www.directv.com/fcc. You will find out alot of things there. I can bet you that your associate is getting money from the cable for keeping dishes out, look into that. I am a dtv customer and has been for about 5 years now, never had problem. So to anybody out there please read whats in the box first,it will be worth your time, and there will be no problems. Plus bring or joining a class action law suit, good luck with that one, you make me wish I was a part of a law firm.
