Placed an order on March 26, 2013 for 20 Gold Eagles. No Delivery yet. It is January 21, 2014 as of the time of this writing. I get courtesy calls, but no delivery. I've asked them a number of questions, but no acceptable answers. I cannot get a refund. I don't get a delivery date. I don't get an estimate of a delivery date. I don't get a refund policy I don't get an answer as to "How long of a wait is too long ? (1 month, 6 months, 1 year, 2 years ?) I don't get information as to how far behind they are in shipments. The price of Gold Eagles has dropped considerably since I placed the order. They could easily purchase them on the open market and ship them to me and pocket a handsome profit. I even suggested that they do this, but they will not. Those are the facts. My opinion is that these guys are running some type of a ponzi scheme. Delivery dates keep getting moved out. At some point they will go out of business. The funds paid for orders not delivered will have long been pocketed.

Hi Discount Gold Brokers Customers

 

I dug further and discovered that we have recently issued an enforcement action against Discount Gold Brokers, Inc., on April 15 of last year. The “Desist & Refrain” order prohibits further sale of commodities to California customers. Please feel free to advertise the order against the company as you see fit. You may reproduce the actual order or provide the link to our website where it is posted: dbo.ca.gov/ENF/pdf/2013/DiscountGoldBrokers_dr.pdf.

 

As for current customers with grievances, the best advice I can give is for individuals to file a complaint with the California Department of Business Oversight so that we can further our official investigation into the company. Our complaints page is at dbo.ca.gov/Consumers/consumer_services.asp.
