Discountbatt Discount Battery USA Seller does not backup stated warranties. San Diego, California
I purchased a battery from this company for a 6 month old laptop that we just needed a spare battery for. There is nothing wrong with the laptop, but sometimes we are in a place where we can't plug in to charge. I ordered the battery from Discountbatt because they promised a particular warranty and money back guarantee. I got the battery in only a few days and immediately opened the package and inspected the unit. There was no damage to the packaging, nor was there any physically evident damage to the battery. As soon as I put the battery in the laptop it ceased to function. No power whatsoever, and that was with the power adapter plugged in. I took the batter back out and the laptop functioned normally. I tried several more times, but the laptop will not even power on if the battery they sent me is installed.
I immediately contacted discountbatt and told them the problem. As usual, it couldn't possibly be their fault. I told them that I have been a PC and laptop tech for almost 25 years, and when you place a battery in a unit and it causes it to become nonfunctional, it's NOT the fault of the laptop. Now they are refusing to do anything about the bad battery unless i ship it to them at my cost. A DOA battery... and they want me to pay again to have it shipped. This is not the way to do business. Now I am stuck with a battery that I paid them for in good faith that they would take care of me. Don't do business with this company. I am posting below their satisfaction guarantee statement that they are not abiding by.
