dish network promises one thing and delivers another. they promise rebates they do not give, they promise good servive which they do not give, and they promise they are better then the competitor which they are not.

dish networks service is a far cry from a good. you sign the contract and they do not live up to there end of the deal.

they came to my house 2 times because of bad reception and promised the problem was fixed. i called approximately 6 times wihtout customer satisfaction.

the bills are mucher higher then they promise on the phone . my contract was supposed to be 39.99 a month and ended up being 70.00 a month. after rounds and rounds on the phone wiht the rude customer servive we decided to disconnect.

they ended up charging the credit card we used for connection and this particular credit card is does not belong to the person who signed the contract. they neglect to inform you of this information when you are signing up there services. they did not send a bill for the $200 dollar disconnection fee and they took it from someone elses account.

they are nothing but rip offs and when you see there flyers the best thing to do is turn and run.

Please remember. When you sign your contract with dish network it is in the disclosures that we as TSR'S, CSC'S AND CSR'S read when finishing a sale, upgrade, or service call. " ANY CREDIT, DEBIT, OR CHECKING ACCT. USED IN THE TRANSACTION ON THE ACCT. CAN AN WILL BE CHARGED FOR DISH NETWORK EQUIP THAT IS NOT RETURNED" WITH IN THE ALLOTTED TIME FRAME WHICH IN MOST CASES IS 15 DAYS HOWEVER THERE IS A TOTAL OF 3O DAYS BEFORE IT SHOWS ON YOUR BILL ETC, ETC.

What were these so-called rebates for?

You mention "dish network promises one thing and delivers another. they promise rebates they do not give, they promise good servive which they do not give, and they promise they are better then the competitor which they are not." What rebates are these? Were they offered by an independent retailer, or were they something else? All rebates offered by Dish Network itself are given as credits on your bill, did you check there? I have never had a problem with Dish Network - yes, even BEFORE I worked there. In addition, I have a friend who's had Dish Network for over 10 years, and he's NEVER had any trouble with the dish either. Unfortunately, most retailer installs are not done up to standards, and require help from our installers to correct issues left by retailers. Did you look at your bill? You mentioned your bill was supposed to be $39.99 - sounds like you had the AT100 DishDVR Advantage (America's Top 100 + Locals + DishDVR service fee). Either that, or the America's Top 100+ package. Which was it? Did you have locals? A DVR? Dual-tuner receivers not plugged into a phone line? How many receivers? What kind of taxes are charged in your area? All of these can play a part in the final amount of your bill - and all of which are in your contract. You say you "called approximately 6 times wihtout customer satisfaction". You also state "after rounds and rounds on the phone wiht the rude customer servive we decided to disconnect". When you had these "rude" agents, did you ever try to get to their supervisor? Did you do anything to provoke anyone, like start out yelling? Not everyone who works there is as patient and committed to great customer service as I. When you signed up with Dish Network, they explained to you they had the right to charge any payment method used in connection with your account, including the credit card used for initial qualification, for any equipment fees or disconnection fees. You agreed to this. Oh, and by the way, using someone else's credit card to set up services? That's called fraud, and it's punishable by law.
