Being a person who is employed by a MAJOR theme park (NOT DISNEY) I would like to make a comment on park attendance: There are certain times of the year that it's a really bad idea to go to a theme park. Everyone else is there. I suggest making the best of Late September through November, if you don't want to wait in long lines. If you can afford to, purchase the fast pass (or express plus, etc) It may be expensive, but you definately get what you pay for. That said, take the time share tour that offers discounted tickets to theme parks. Some even offer FREE tickets. Almost all theme parks are now ADA compliant. So, renting a wheelchair for $50.00 won't get you to the front of the line. Don't be rude, crass, or impatient with the employees, and CERTAINLY don't start yelling at them. Yes, we are trained to help you, but keep in mind that we are also human. Talking with an employee as a person, not the "attendant" is a good way to get yourself through any form of express lane that they have. Personally, if someone takes the minute to talk to me, doesn't talk down to me because I am "just an attendant at a theme park" and gives me a little respect, there's a good chance that I can get you backdoor entrance at one or more attractions. It's not OK to demand this. As far as getting all the rides/shows in.... When you go in the park, go opposite of where the majority of folks are headed. Starting in reverse will get you on more rides faster without the express ticket. Save the "big" rides for last. Get the complimentary express passes for the big stuff when you come in. They are FREE every 2 hours! fill your time with small stuff, and you will find that time goes by really fast. Finally, don't forget a park map! It will literally make your day 10 times smoother. That's all I can give you on this subject, but good luck in your theme park adventures!

Unfortunately, that's the norm nowdays for most "big name" amusement parks. The park operators have absolutely no qualms on selling tickets in a quantity sufficient to ruin the experience for all. I call that greed, and a complete lack of compassion for their customers. There needs to be some type of reservation system in place so you're not packed in like sardines. I also just love the way they have vendors hawking water at $1.00 (or more) a bottle to the unlucky stiffs stuck in line for hours. More d**n greed, and taking advantage of a situation for which they're directly responsible.
