Dodge City of McKinney has a thief in the Service Department in my opinion by the name of Stephen Kallas.  I brought my vehicle to have it services although I had a service plan Stephen argued with me for 30 minutes that I did Not.

After I called 2 other ligitimate Dodge Stores they pulled it right up in the Dodge System.  I called Dodge on the phone they stated the same.  After fighting to convince him of thi,s he elected to not charge me the hundreds of dollars he previously attempted to charge.  Today I returned.

HERE ARE THE PROBLEMS:

Tried to collect cash instead of turning warranty claim in. (Dealers make more money)

Stated he would rotate tires and put on the invoice that in-fact they were. (Tires were NOT rotated)

Stated in front of Service Manager Scott Spindle that he tried to sell me new tires. (LIE)

Check engine light would turn its self off in "about a day". (LIE-requires dealership to do this)

Service Manager did attempt to make this situation right. (HOWEVER FAILED)

Engine is making alarming ticking noise suddenly. (Never has before)

Windshild washer container was broken off hinge and lid was off.  (Did not mention or replace)

The dealership owner Gus Rodriguez finally made his presents known (in passing).  I stopped him and told him the situation.  He could absolutely care less and allowed Stephen Kallas the service writer to sit and verbally attack me right in front of him.

How could an owner sit and allow someone right in front of him go on and on attacking a customer?  Of course by this time I had called Dodge Corporate Relations and they said I was welcome to go somewhere else.

I requested my vehicle back and after numerous request to simply give me back my vehicle, here come the service writer Stephen driving it (30 minutes after I requested it).

Around and around we go.... right in front of Gus Rodriguez and WHAT?  NOTHING....

I guess Mr. Gus Rodriguez had more important things to worry about.  He was over parking the cars in the new dealership customers like myself help pay for.

WELL... MR. Rodriguez for you fortunately Dodge had a special program to allow owners such as yourself to aquire a franchise.  I can assure you the way you just conducted yourself.... you could of never opened one on your own.

MORE TO COME.... I must start a blog on SHADY Car Dealers......

If you tell a lie it makes you a liar.

I am the person named in this complaint.  I was was not given the choice to have my Name put online and slandered.
Mr. Donald Owens came to me and asked me to work on his vehicle.  I will attempt corrrect each of his issues.  I spoke with him and his partner when they dropped the vehicle off and advised them of the recommended services at 30k miles.  At this point I was told they had free/prepaid oil changes. (this is very common)
I called the customer and explained the prices for those services.  He at this point informs me that he has never paid for any of this before, I asked if that was a service contract. (at this point i realized i must have missed the designation on the contract for more than oil changes) I told the customer I would verify coverage of those items and call back.  I did they were and I called him and apologized for my mistake. His story to both of my bosses started that I argued and then I argued for 15 minutes and now I see it was 30 minutes I argued.  I don't know he expects anyone to believe this, it took me less than 5 minutes to verify my mistake and maybe another 5 minutes to call him back and tell him.  There was no election, he had coverage, he should not pay.
I stated that at every 10miles the tires are due to be rotated, I told him or his partner that the vehicle needed new tires and I was told they would take care of it.  I further told him at his return that the best tires by tread depth were on the front.  I was told that I never talked to them about the tires,  this is my word against his, I would remind you he already stated I don't make money unless I sell things.
I ask you do you really think I would ignore at least two tires at an unsafe tread depth!  I called him on it in front of my service manager, I have been speaking to two different guys and honestly don't know which one I spoke with anymore.  The maintenance lamp was and is on, it would not reset when we tried for a second time to reset it.  It also has instructions in the owners manual to do so.  The noise I was never given time to diagnose, I don't deny that it started since he picked up from the oil change but that does not mean we did anything wrong.  The washer container was already loose when he came in the second time, I have no idea whether or not it was like that on his first trip.  Remember it is in our best interest to fix things that are broken, and I would have had I had time.
Mr. Donald Owens or his partner then stated that he was unwilling to let us finish our diagnosis and he wanted to have me bring the vehicle to him.  I notified my service manager and went to tell technician.  The technician had been trying to get his maintenance lamp to turn off it would not, however the "check engine" lamp had also been on and corrected in this same amount of time.
Then Donald Owens or his partner preceeded to attack me and call me a liar to the owner  of the dealership and I spoke up for myself and informed him of what had been going on, I admitted my mistake on the service contract and explained the tire situation when Donald Owens or his partner began to challenge me and call me a Liar to my face, I responded that he was not listening and I will admit I was not happy being called I liar multiple times to my bosses, at no time did I yell or "attack" him.
He had already called Chrysler prior to telling me he was taking the vehicle out.  This is clearly his choice to take his vehicle anywhere he wants as it is anyone's I would not expect someone to come back if they are unhappy or not treated properly.  I make a living dealing with people who generally are not happy to see me.  I don't however expect to be slandered and attacked in public.  We made a good faith effort to take care of him like any of other of our customers.  There are time when we are just not able to do this.  I truly hope he finds someone who can make him happy.
I do wonder why he had to make a racist remake about my dealership owner.  I believe that was uncalled for and should negate most of his credibility right there.

NEVER ignore the WARNING SIGNS!

#3Consumer Suggestion

Fri, April 22, 2011

Your big mistake was ignoring the first warning signs and doing business with em anyway.

I suggest you take your business elsewhere at the FIRST sign of underhandedness.

Hopefully you get yourself a new engine and avoid any future ripoffs by staying clear of this place.
