Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I went through the process of adopting a dog from this organization.  They listed an adorable tiny poodle on an adoption site along with their information.  After speaking extensively to the owner Janet and exchanging emails, I felt comfortable with the process. Closer to the time that the dog was to be sent, I started getting a little nervous; at this point I had already given them a deposit for the dog and in turn they had listed the dog as adopted and taken him off of their site.  Approximately two days after my apprehension, I tried calling and emailing with no response.  Suddenly, I had realized by checking on the internet that they had relisted the dog for adoption on both sites.  On top of this, they had kept my money!!  On their site, in order to pay for the adoption fee you MUST select the donation button, that is the only way to pay.  I didn't thing much of it at the time, but now I think that this maybe a sneaky way of them getting around returning the funds.  I am sorrowfully disappointed that someone would use and innocent dog to fool people out of their hard earned money.  All I have to say is BEWARE, BEWARE, BEWARE!

This is an outrageous claim that is simply not true.

Dogtired Ranch remembers dealing with this potential client very well and returned her money in full. Her false claim states that DTR kept her money for an adoption and kept the dog, too. Never have we, nor ever would we, "keep" someone's money in the manner she is claiming. We entertained her continual calls and growing apprehensions politely and professionally. Since she was approved for a particular dog, we updated our online records immediately to benefit the adoption seeking public. When it was time for her to pay the adoption fee, she only paid half of the fee based on her mother in law's roof falling in, which caused her obvious grief, as she was crying and highly distraught over the phone.

Even after being approved and paying a portion of the adoption fee for a particular a dog, she continued inquiring about several other dogs. After a number of conversations with her, communication became very confusing and increasingly strange and erratic. The President of Dogtired Ranch, Janet Anderson Dodson, made the executive decision, based on the welfare of the dog, to terminate the adoption process, and the dog was put back on our site listed "for adoption". The money she sent to Dogtired Ranch was returned.

There is proven documentation that we received half of the adoption fee in question on Friday, November 1st; this money was held by PayPal for a couple of days for fund verification. On Thursday, November 7th, 2013, DTR gave her a full refund as a "reverseal of funds" through PayPal.

Dogtired Ranch has a stellar reputation with over 1,500 successful adoptions in 6 years. We learned of these false claims by some of our loyal clientele, as they said, "we just knew it wasn't right". We're confident we did all we could to provide superior customer service in this situation. We're also thankful Dogtired Ranch could write a rebuttal against these false statements. We have a wonderful community of Dogtired Ranch families that send referrals and those who have even adopted from us multiple times due to our professionalism and attention. Thank you!!
