Dogg Digital speakers - don't buy them!
In the parking lot of a shopping mall near my home where I do my banking and grocery shopping, some guys were selling what appeared to be a nice speaker system. They claimed that they had titanium cones (they didn't look like titanium... but I wasn't about to tell them that they weren't), and had a couple magazines showing ads and reviews of the system. I didn't really get a chance to look too closely, as they showed me pretty quickly, but they were basically saying that worked for some studio and had that these were what they used there. They wanted $800, but I got them down to $300 and paid them in cash.
The speakers are [relatively] terrible. They're not the worst speakers you could get, but are definitely not worth $300, and certainly not the $1999 at which they were advertised. I wouldn't recommend paying anything more than $150-$200 for a set of speakers like this.
So if somebody offers you speakers for cheap, don't get 'em!
Or at least be very wary...

In response to buying stereo speakers in a parking lot from out of the back of a van, Beware this SCAM that has gone on for many years in many municipalities across the nation.
It is always a different variations of the same theme. "We just installed speakers at a studio and have a few left over that I can sell for cash at a deep discount". Don't fall for it.
The speakers are a no name brand or fraudulently labeled speaker box with components inside that add up to a about a 20-30 dollar speaker.
Again this is played out all through the country and most of the police departments are aware of them. The scammers play on your greed for a great bargain.
