I just wrote my complaint, so I don't want to do it again, but something needs to be done. How do I find a way for all of us to gather with out our numbers out there?

You might check and see if Ohio is a right to work state. If it is a right to work state then they can fire you for any reason they wish. They could fire you for not liking blondes. They could fire you for wearing orange shoes. Only federally protected discrimination is a reason they cannot fire you. Your deposit was short, that's why they fired you. They didnt need to establish a series of write ups. You may be able to get unemployment over it though, so I would get on that ASAP. You may get lucky and they won't fight your unemployment

OMG! I feel so stupid now after reading all of the similar 'unwarranted termination' stories here. And I thought mine was an isolated case just because the mgr. was covering for her best friend (the asst. mgr.) Jokes on me! I've worked for $ Gen. for 8 yrs. part-time. I LOVED my job and especially my CUSTOMERS, many of whom were elderly. They would go on & on about how helpful, courteous, & happy I was. I was never late. I never called in sick. I worked my @#* off. I was never short on my register. I was there longer than any of the managers, assistant mgrs., district mgrs., regional managers., & of course all other cashiers. I reported a serious company violation of policy (by a supervisor) to my manager. The next time I came to work (Feb. 2009) I was mysteriously 'short' on my register & was "suspended' until the DM checked things out. I spoke with him 3 times to arrange a meeting but he was too busy. I filed for unemployment & was denied - due to "misconduct", "cash shortages, willful & wanton disregard for my duties & obligations..." & other accusations that are straight out lies. I am angered, hurt, & astonished. I've called the STARS hotline, district asset protection, & a field mgr. - to no avail. The next step is the Dept. Director of AP, Wage & Labor Board, Dept. of Professional Business Regulations, & an atty. Am I missing anybody? This is direct violation of the 'Whistleblower' laws. I don't think $ Gen. is excused from this law. I given 8 loyal, hardworking, HONEST yrs. to this job I LOVED. Not only am I out of an income, but they've made it impossible for me to be hired anywhere else, even if jobs WERE plentiful. I read $ General's SEC Report that came out 4-21-09. Apparently several 'exempt waged 'employees are filing class action lawsuits. I'm tenacious, suppose a 'wrongful termination' class action lawsuit is in order. I hope BRANDY from Willoughby, Ohio reads this. There must be many more out there like us who have been slapped in the face for years of faithful service. I must remain anonymous until after all appeals & filings are in order, so for now I guess I'll be known as whistleblower (which by the way, was regarding a drug transaction at the store & Workers Comp. fraud - & yes I have personal knowledge of this & witnesses sworn under oath). PLEASE REPLY
