Year, make, and model of your vehicle is required to know if you were ripped off. Just because two other mechanics tell you they can do the job CHEAPer, does not make it true. Since they have no chance of having to honor their CHEAPer price, they can tell you anything, including doing the job for FREE, and handing you cash back. A 10% profit refers to the shop's NET profit, not the shop's GROSS profit. The typical GROSS profit is 70%, while the NET will usually be about 10%. It keeps the doors open so you have a place to get repairs. It's also how every other business operates, including the Lexus Dealer. In fact, Dealerships survive because of the profits generated by their Service Departments, not by car sales. Provide required info about your vehicle, and I'll tell you what the job was actually worth. Keep in mind all repair shops use the labor guides. If it takes me 30 minutes to do a repair the guide says 1 hour, you'll still be billed for 1 hour. Mechanics do not take pay cuts as they get better at their profession.

This may not help in a big way, but reporting this company to the BBB of Houston will make others aware of how this company operates!
