Dominican Cakes and Bridal Shop ,dominicancakesbridalshop.com after spending a lot of money on a custom cake, they created a cake which was not agreed to Margate, Florida
This business was chosen by me for my daughter's baby shower's cake. After spending over three hours discussing the importance of the design and spending over $300.00 for this cake, I find it nessessary to submit this complaint.
When I went to pick up the cake it was not the design we had agreed on. The entire size and special notables were a huge miss. Since the party had to go on, I told the owners Juan and Eva that we will come back to discuss.
When we went back the following week to discuss their errors in design, using photos and other documents to show thier failure, all they would tell me is they would refund my $25.00.
The problem is during the original plan and design conversation, the part that was critical was the part they said was the most costly as it would take a lot of time. That was the reason for the cost of the cake to be $325.00.
It is so sad and dishearting that after agreeing on a design and paying for something so special, these people would not take responsibility nor would they even admit thier failure. They treated me as I was wrong and suggested I take the $25.00 as a sign of good faith.
I hope this complaint reaches many people so to share what I learned, when it comes to having something custom made, have them sign that if it is not 100% , the cost will be adjusted.
