Donald Sabin & Associates will rush you into an expensive contract with all sorts of promises. The contract will require substantial payments upfront. They will verbally promise and discuss anything to get you to sign the contract quickly. They will also tell you how important timing is in order to get you to sign quickly.

I expressly discussed several times that I had been working with other recruiters and asked how things would be handled if one of them came through. I was told that if this was the case, we would come up with a mutually acceptable solution.

I had proceeded through their process, only through Phase 1 (or about 10-20% of the process), which consisted of me quickly filling in a questionaire which took approximately 20 minutes. Within a few weeks I had been offered and accepted another position obtained through another recruiter.

I discussed this with Donald and received a letter stating that due the research already completed the costs would be approximately 50% of the total costs. I requested the results of the research and never received anything. I then filed a complaint through my credit card company at which time I received a credit of about one-third of the amount paid.

I later requested the results, once again, and was told that "any information resulting from these efforts became null and void and totally unusable once the agreement is cancelled. We do not keep outdated or used specific data pertaining to a non-client." But yet they kept the results of the questionaire I filled in during my 20 minute session.

The bottom line is Donald Sabin & Associates has kept two-thirds of my payment for which I received absolutely nothing.

Not only that, even the results of the questionaire I filled in were in accurate since I was rushed through the questionaire and was told that I could adjust my answers when I had more time to think about it and review the results. I later sent updated responses which don't appear were ever even considered.

Donald Sabin is a pushy salesman posing as extremely warm and considerate, but the bottom line is he's a salesman.

Lionel was an expectant father and had been spending a mojority of his time "on the road"...He specifically wanted to spend more time at home and we discussed the urgency of the need to change this situation. He completed various informational documents specifying geographic preference, size of company, and industry preference in regards to our efforts. We would not have done anything without this needed information. Lionel met with us on Oct 1, 2004, and entered into an agreement on Oct 18, 2004. There was ample time for his consideration of all the options available to him. Notwithstanding the standard cancellation provision required by the state, he requested a partial credit and received same from us...Any effort expended for him were done as an accomodation and in response to specific requests. We regret the situation resulted in this misunderstanding buy felt compelled to state our side.
