Donorworx fundraises on behalf of non-profit organizations like World Vision and PlanCanada but they do not honor the ethics that they claim within their organization. They exploit their fundraisers on short term contracts. I raised concerns about sending un-insured cash in fed-ex envelopes and was demoted and when I submitted an expenses claim, I was dismissed.
The company operates in a corporate bully climate where employees have no rights to raise concerns or make legitimate claims. A $500 cash sponsorship form went "missing" in the Fed-Ex post and the accompanying electronic form - until the customer/sponsor returned to enquire about it. 4 days later it was retrieved and was apparently put in as a "cash donation" instead of child sponsorship. For 4 days all traces of the cash and the electronic form "went missing".
Donorworx offered me $1000 to sign a release and not press charges or launch law suits. I rejected the offer, because I needed to expose them. I am a Christian and do not want them representing a Christian charity. They have high staff turn over. They also operate a sales environment where target sponsorships is all they consider, all the while exploiting their staff and covering up major issues of concern.
Rip off is correct to direct people to sponsor directly with non-profits. Donorworx is not to be trusted.
