Downtown Sumter Motor Inn The Downtowner, Downtown Motel "STOP TAKING MY MONEY", DOWNTOWN CHEATS- PATEL MOTEL Sumter South Carolina
I'm currently a tenant at the Downtown Motel because it's convenient to and from stores, library, restaurants, etc. I have been being overcharged and verbally degraded not only by the Owners, who calls themselves, "D" (the female) and "DC" (the male), but the employees, Womack and Kathy. Now I struggle with day to day rent, and still I get charged $10 one day, and $17 on another. I pay rent but don't have enough to pay $17. I got enough money from a friend to pay for one week at $185. Well, I pay for the week, and the $17. After doing so. Kathy says I owe $10 for being late paying the $17 late fee. I refused and stated that they have been unjustly strongarming me. Today I'm getting cereal and D says I owe $10 on my rent still. She says my weekly rent is $195, instead of the quoted $185 that my neighbors pay. How convenient. I need help. There has to be somebody or an agency that will help those of us who have no choice but to stay here. I can't afford to keep getting swindled.
