Worst Pain Management Ever - Only Cares About 'Her License" Not About Patients

I had spinal surgery through New York Spine Institute at NYU. My Surgeon and his PA as well as every other person there was the best then they stuck me with her. The PA was prescribing Norco 10 plus valium but she said sher does not write valium even though it stops the painful muscle spasms and did not listen to a word i said about my pain- I need 2 more spinal surgeries and, as narcotics are addictive I chose to go a month without them (HELL!) after which she put me on 500 mg Vicodan which is what you get from your dentist for a simple extraction and clearly not sufficient for my constant pain. She gave me one a day so I had 4 hours out of 24 when my pain was slightly dulled. Last month she refused to guive me what the PA had had me on which worked and gave me Vicodan 750- again onve a day so i have 20 hours of agony. I asked her what she wanted me to do if this script was not sufficient and she said I had to wait out the month. Unbelieveable! I am in so much pain I actually cry and can not live any type of life so I am looking for a DR who actually cares about her patients.

I hope she ends up with severe cronic pain and gets a Dr who writes her St Josephs Childrens Aspirin because maybe then she might get it.

sadly she is the only pain Mgmt person currently on staff so avoid that place like it is an Ebola factory and have your surgery done at Hospital For Special Surgery.

It is getting harder and harder to get enough pain medicine these days. The government pressures doctors to give out vey little. I can't get enough, either. I wish people who haven't suffered from severe chronic pain would stop claiming we're drug addicts. Have you tried CBD oil for your pain? It does help somewhat.

Words from a dope fiend!!!! Vicodan is highly addictive therefore if you cannot live on that dosage you are most likely addicted!! Seek help.
