Dream Achievers - Teri J. Beattie ripoff uses husband as shill amiable approach leads to disaster, set up wine and dine, appear legitimate but are crooks El Dorado Hills California
Teri J. Beattie enlists the help of her husband, Steven A. Beattie, to set up prospective clients aka "victims" in a scam that she has been running for more than 20 years.
Teri calls herself a "decorator", yet on her business license it says, "furniture, bought and sold". She stated she was licensed to do interior decorating but is not. She holds no credentials and is not a graduate of any program for interior decorating.
She and her husband Steven A. Beattie have the bait and switch down to a fine science. They are like well-greased wheels, each working in concert with the other.
Teri presents her husband Steve as a well-meaning but bumbling idiot who doesn't even have the organizational skills it takes to deliver the furniture that is "bought and sold" on Teri's license. She berates him publicly, then regales her captive audiences with "Steve stories"...for example, he allowed a shopping cart full of paid for groceries to get away from him during one late-night shopping trip in a bad neighborhood (would that be near 1418 Kitimat Place in Sunnyvale?). The man's reentering the store and repurchasing everything is then supposed to make the listener howl with delight at his ineptitude.
Poor Steve seems to bask in the attention, but I could not help but observe that he appeared to have other things on his mind. I observed his technique for ferreting out information about people. It was a cookie cutter approach when watched from a distance over and over. First, where did you go to school, or where do you work? Then questions about your family. Then more questions about YOU< YOU< YOU. Even so far as, "where do you see yourself in 5 years?" I guess he's waiting to hear someone say, in a courtroom facing you and your wife. It's very flattering, and he is an attractive man. (But he has been cuckolded before, right under his own roof, with the owner of a tile store who was Teri's employer. SHe bid him adieu then he began to stalk her, by her admission. Oh, and yes, she's been stalked by the Hillside Strangler, but she got away.) There are so many stories of ghosts and hauntings and the supernatural, she's fascinated by psychics. (It seems only natural that she would want to know what her future holds.) She is constantly intimating that men are trying to harm her, or make passes at her. (It's amusing after awhile, and I might be able to dredge up some sympathy for her if she were a decent person under all the BS.)
Beware, fair guest, if you wine and dine with the Beatties, and keep the bottle away from Mrs. Beattie, because she is a nasty, snarling, confrontational drunk. It is hard to imagine that she would turn on a dime with a few ounces of alcohol, since her overall demeanor is sweet, and touchy-feely. She likes to hug. It seems to be her way of comforting herself when things go wrong. She was ripping me off BLIND and when I confronted her she wanted me to GIVE HER A HUG!! My condolences to husband Steve, who has signed on for a lifetime of lawsuits. Keep your job with Arizant Healthcare, Steve, at least you'll have that to bail her out of jail.

My name is ann Jackson and I was so shocked to see Dreamachievers on this ripoff site. I enlisted the services of Teri Beattie. My experience was very positive and i found Teri to be very professional In fact I was referred to her through a friend. I would like to comment on a few things I read. The original report reads that Teri's husband helped her do some sort of scam. This is utterly ridiculous. I only dealt with Teri in business.
If this Shawnee has a problem with work Teri performed she needs to state these problems. the only problem I see is on a personal level. It seems to me shawnee is obsessed with Teri. who would spend this much of their valuable time writing a dirty laundry list about someone. sounds like shawnee wants Teri's life. I don't see her complaining about the service. I hear her critiking Teri's life blow by blow.
I want to confirm I would use Dreamachievers again. I have referred 3 friends who have used this business and there has never been a problem. Just rave reviews. I would recommend this company to everyone.

Having read several reports on this person, I cannot understand why she has not been arrested and convicted of fraud, grand theft or burglary (since it appears this happened in your home), or some other crime. Surely the California Contractor's Licensing Board must have something to do with this? Isn't it a crime to engage in activities that require a contractor's license without one? Especially at the dollar level that is involved? Why isn't this woman in JAIL where she appears to belong?

"In relation to the previous postings, at that time I may have been emotional, and these were my opinions of what had happened between us. The parties involved have not admitted any wrongdoing and are now in negotiations with us to try and resolve these issues."
