Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

Like many people on this list I joined Cheep Trips which closed before I could use it. In 2013 I was contacted by Dream Vacation Passport with an offer that seemed quite good. I did not use their services for a year becaues I was not traveling. When I did need a place to stay, I could not find timeshare rentals in areas where I was going. The staff offered a lot of help showing me hotels but those were more expensive than places I could book on my own. They seemed very nice. When I was offered upgrades I accepted and paid for them. Later I was told that these updates covered fees. My last upgrade included fees though 2019.

When I realized I would never use this program, I stopped looking at the website. In 2016 I was contacted by John Sanders who said his company would take over my contract, remove my name from DVP and their related companies as well as renting out my weeks which would eventulaly repay my investment. I paid him a $687 leagal fee for this service and never heard from him again. For two years I did not hear from DVP so thought John Sanders had at least removed my name from their lists. However recently I started reciveing daily emails offering to renew my membership for fees varing from $29 to several hundred dollars which is strange since I am paid up until next year.

Two days ago I was contacted by Chris Roberts who told me his company BZ9 Mediation Boston had been hired to help people like myself who had bought DVP contracts but not used them. He had a lot of information about my financial relationship with DVP some of which was not quite correct but close enough. He said if I paid DVP $500 to buy out of my contract, the company that had hired his company, Premier Advertising and Marketing Group, would guarantee that my name would be removed from all DVP and related companies then they would resell my contract which he said was actually a good deal but under bad management.

While his offer sounded excellent, I was unable to find an online listing for the company that he said he was working for BZ9 Mediation Boston. Further while the company he said had hired him, Premier Advertising and Marking Group, has a website claiming to be the "One of the largest Marketing and advertising entiities in the industriey", it does not have a person answering their phones. As much as I would like to sell the contract, this seems like a variation on the offer made by John Sanders.

Has anyone found a successful way to recover money spent with this company?
