You are absoulty right! The time line was ridiculous for ordering a dress for a wedding I was just following what thier website said they could do.My mind must have been foggy from joy thinking of my upcoming wedding.
Upon saying this it was still WRONG what they did. They should not promise timelines that they cannot adhere to.I was told they could delivery upon speaking with there representative in an e-mail.
Apparently they have a terrible track record with multiple I mean mulitude of complanits from various customers filed on Rip OFF report. They range from no refunds to terrible quality of the dresses etc etc.Go ahead and read them you will see what I am tallking about. They should be shut down!!!
The reason I wrote the report was to help protect the public from this scam.I figured that was the right thing to do.I am really sick of people who do not want to defend victims of crime.Yes, it may have been stupid on my part and I am so much wiser from this experience. However, it is still wrong and taking people's money is wrong!

I see that your cost was minimal for a wedding dress - that should have been your second clue that this was a scam. The first clue should have been the website itself!
Why in the world would you expect anyone to meet a wedding date of March 14 2011 when you ordered it in Feb 2011 from Hong Kong? There is nothing wrong with planning a quick wedding, but don't expect to have a dress made to order in that time. You need to be realistic in your expectations. When you are getting married in a month, its time to look at 'off the rack' type wedding dresses from vendors that are local to you.
You are fortunate they refunded even a part of your funds. I hope the check clears for your sake. But the larger part of this fiasco is to learn not to expect something that is totally unrealistic. You set yourself up for this scam. This does not mean that what they did was right. But you need to take responsbility for what you have done to prevent another scam from someone else happening to you in the future.

Since My last report dressales.com has refunded 87.00 dollars from the 140.00 that was the orginal amount of the dress.
I did not argue with them since it is overseas and would be difficult to deal with them directly.
I am sure this is common practice for them to agree to a shipping date etc, even if they know they caanot deliver on time. They will lie to you to get your money and than turn around and make excuses for why they can not deliver and take all or a portion of your money.
This is a scam website and if they do this to enough people I am sure they make alot of money doing absolutely nothing but scamming Americans out of there money.Lesson learned never do business with overseas companys!
