Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I purchased a car on 12/26 and I'm having problems already!!!! Devaughn at the Drivetime location in Temple Hills, MD was very nice, but wasn't completely honest with the "extras" that came with my car. I was told that the car had all of the "necessities" I wanted in my new purchase.....1) a sunroof and 2) uconnect (bluetooth). Yes, the car has a sunroof and the car has the buttons for the uconnect but is NOT equipped with it. When I contacted Devaughn about it, he told me that i would have to go to a Chrysler dealership to see if there was something they could do. I asked him if I would have to pay for this and he told me YES!!!!! I couldn't believe it. Now fast forward to 1/13/15.....my "oil change required" light is on and the heat in the car doesn't really work. DRIVETIME is good for people who have challenged credit like myself and I think they prey and take advantage of the fact that we don't have a lot of choices or places to go to get a good deal on a vehicle. With that being said, I would rather be on a bus or metro before I do business with this place again. I have already told many people about this and will continue to voice it because it's not right. I will be doing more research on my rights and seeing who I can talk to about this situation. Times are hard out here and the last thing someone needs is to put a substantial amount of money down and pay a note on a car that has major issues not even a month after you buy it.....I will never do business with them again and i will not be referring anyone to this "dealership".

I usually don't respond to comments like yours, but because it involves a post that I made, I will oblige. My original statement may not be what YOU consider a "ripoff", but it is to me. The most important thing is to have a safe and reliable vehicle of course and then I would like my vehicle to have a sunroof and bluetooth capability. Yes, I test drove the car and the heat worked just fine. I aslo attempted to turn on the bluetooth in the car, but was told by the salesman that it wouldn't let me because I have to connect my phone. Because I was just test driving the car, I didn't think I needed to do that; but as soon as I arrived at home I attempted to connect my phone but was unsuccessful.

After someone purchases a car from a dealership, I'm pretty sure they don't expect for the "oil change required" light to come on 17 days later. Also, everything that I put in my original post is true. I'm not coming back to say that there were worse things. No, my warranty doesn't include oil changes. Yes, I have a warranty on the car and the company that the warranty is through is getting my car fixed as we speak. According to the mechanic, my heat not working properly is part of a bigger problem.

Yes, I'd rather ride the bus than have to deal with drivetime or another dealership like this because it's not right that I put the amount of money i put down on the car and also pay a car note for a car that isn't working properly and I haven't even had a month yet.

I don't know about you or anyone else, but a car is a big purchase to me and since I'm making such a big commitment I would like to get what I want in the car. Why is is such a big deal to you that besides the obvious, the two other things I wanted in my car was bluetooth and a sunroof? You may not understand because your life is so grand, but this is a big deal to me. Any positive and constructive comments are welcomed, but I can definitely do without your condescending response.

Lastly, if there were buses with sunroofs in my part of the world; i would definitly ask them to open it up.

Let's see here when you come here to report your "RipOff", you of course want to put the most important things down.  So we can figure that for you the two most important items on the car were the Sun Roof and Bluetooth.  So, when you test drove the car what did the salesman say when you said you wanted to test this very important feature out?  You did attempt to try out the Bluetooth before you bought it right?

But then just a few weeks after you bought it you have "major" issues where the WORST thing that happened is that the Oil Change light came on and the heater doesn't really work.  So is the heater worse than it was when you test drove it?   You did check it out before you bought it right?

Oh and like the most important features, since these must have been the biggest issues, coming back after the fact and saying "Oh no...there were worse things" is meaningless.  Because if there were worse things you would have put them in the original report.

You might have gotten away with the "oh poor me..the times are so tough" line to try and gain sympanthy.  IF you weren't complaining about LUXURIES such as a Sun Roof and Bluetooth.

So did you purchase a Warranty that included Oil Changes?  Did they put anything in writing that Oil Changes are included?  Do you have something in writing that says they will fix the heater?  Do you have anything in writing that states that it has the Bluetooth capability and it is working?

No, I bet the answer to all of those questions is NO and you bought the car "As-Is".  Meaning that anything and everything that goes wrong is your responsibility.  So as to what to do about your situation..Enjoy your car, "major" issues and all.

As for you saying you would rather ride the bus.  Well if this car is so bad, why don't you just leave the car in your driveway and do that?  Oh and when you do be sure to ask the driver to open the sunroof for you and let you connect to the busses Bluetooth.
