In 2007 I purchased a warranty from DS Dealer Services, also fooled by the title, for my 2001 Chrysler T&C Van. I was alarmed since the transmission had been replaced and wanted protection. I have never had to make a claim with them until now.

My driver side window had fallen in and I checked my warranty under Electrical and it states that window motors are covered. Upon the dealer rep. reporting to me that DS rejected coverage, I called and talked to a rep. and also a supervisor. Since the motor is referred to as a regulator (the motor is all inclusive in one piece) the claim was rejected. This was an obvious ploy to refuse payment-"fraud" is the word. I was also told that they do not classify type of vehicle. My sevice representative called them back to report that the motor is broken and was still declined coverage.

My rear tail gate motor and latch are also broken. They denied coverage for this repair. Their schedule of coverage also lists power trunk release and switch, as well as power door lock actuators and switches. Being a van, which should be covered since they do not classify type of vehicle, obviously has no category for the rear "door."

I wonder if these "scam artists" have ever paid a claim. They are "play on words" artists and should be prosecuted to the fullest extent.

I will be writing them with demand that they pay the minimal claim of $321.59 and also cover the rear door latch & motor. I will also write a complaint to the Texas Attorney General and anyone else who might have influence in these fraudulent matters.
