My review on Google pretty much sums it up:

Top ten reasons why I am giving Dunwoody Labs a one star review.

1. There’s a five star review from Bryan Ginter, who is a salesperson for Dunwoody Labs. Go ahead and discount that one right off the bat.

2. The lab can literally take one vial of a person’s blood and run the same test on the one vial twice, and get radically different results even though they used an identical blood sample. Go ahead and tell me that doesn’t make their results absolute worthless crap. I was told this directly by the lab personnel.

3. You’ll see a lot of reviews by Cheryl Burdette claiming they’re somehow valid solely because they passed CLIA inspection. They didn’t, actually, at least not the first go ‘round. CLIA shut them down for months and then finally passed them after massive inspection due to violations and bullcrap. This was common knowledge at the workplace.

4. Most of the doctors at Progressive Medical Center, the owner’s other company, are not M.D.’s and you sign a notice stating that you understand that when you are seen at Progressive Medical Center by their "doctors."

5. I personally, as an employee, got the Food Test Combo done twice. When I received my test results the second time (for a test they ran on employee volunteers for free so I said hey why not), 67% of my results had changed, meaning that twice as many of my food sensitivity classifications had moved as had stayed where they were in the first test. Go ahead and tell me again that doesn’t make their results absolute worthless crap. Especially since things I literally have a medical allergy to were classified as “no reaction, eat without restrictions.”

6. I’m not in any way saying having a food test is a bad idea, but I am saying don’t get it from Dunwoody Labs. You can get a food allergy test basically anywhere, usually for half the price and half the wait time. Go somewhere else that will not lose your sample, fudge your results, lock you out of your patient portal without warning, demand thousands of dollars you didn’t agree to pay, and send your results that literally cannot be replicated.

7. Oh, and definitely don’t send them your insurance. According to multiple coworkers of mine in the billing department, their codes are crap, their biller is not licensed, and their billing practices are fraudulent and illegal (I have personally witnessed the fraudulent billing in that Dunwoody Labs frequently received payment for tests that were never run, which is illegal).

8. If you’re thinking about working there, absolutely don’t. In my personal opinion, the lab will be closed very soon. And even if it’s not, their turnover rate is over 50% meaning if you’re hired with someone else, look them in the eye because one of you is likely to be let go.

9. They have multiple lawsuits against them from employees at this point for hostile work environment, harassment, discrimination, and now wage violations, as I went with a group of recently laid off coworkers to get our last checks and every single one of them was short. (They laid off the majority of the managers in the building two workdays after the Thanksgiving holiday, at which point I resigned because they’re unethical and fraudulent and requested that I personally dock the commissions of salespeople and business partners despite contracts with those people, so we all had to go get our final checks).

10. There was literally once a threat on the building and the refused to let any employees leave to go home due to the threat even though the police officer that came on scene to patrol our building advised that they send everyone home.

I am a previous employee. I was not laid off. I resigned due to their extremely unethical policies and practices. I was actually promised I was not being let go by the owner of the business, but could not in good conscience continue to work for a company like Dunwoody Labs.

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

Mon, April 16, 2018

My name was used erroneously on this post. A similar complaint was filed with the BBB, who investigated the claims and found the company to be at no fault, and decided in favor of the company, removing the complaint from the BBB website. Ripoff Report refuses to remove this posting, however, as the BBB found, the review has been found to be groundless and removed. It should be removed on this site as well, however Ripoff Report refuses to acknowledge this, and has invited me to post a rebuttal instead. Please disregard this posting, and know that the DOL and BBB have both determined that there is no merit to the review.
