First of all let me start by saying my car = crap.
After the first year of ownership of my 2006 Kia Rio I started to have starting issues. I took my car into Durham Kia and they replaced a jump box. This temporarily fixed the issue. I have taken my car back there at least 5 times. One time they kept my car for 2 weeks. During this time apparently they couldnt reproduce the issue which is hilarious as within 20 minutes of leaving there it refused to start agai. This one time that they had it for 2 weeks the service person provided me a rental car. BIG mistake. Its apparently not approved by the owner. Who infact called me and my family names and accused ous of trying to scam hius company. A few days later he apologized and gave me the over $1000 I was wrongly charged for the rental. Since then I have taken my car back once r twice for the same starting issue and was told to leave it. Which isnt possible as I live over 30 minutes form the dealership. The "new" service rep and owner and sales manager all have been rude.
At approx 5000 km out of the 100,000 km warranty BAM my staring issue reappears and I am told by Kia 100,000 is 100,000 regardless. So I have to speand close to $1000 on 2 ignition coils. NOw at 10,000 OOW my stereo stops working oh and it has starting issues again.
Maybe if they actually FIXED the initial issue I would not be paying out money hand over fist for a 3 yr old car that is just over 10,000 KM out of warranty
