DVDDonkey, DVDAvenue, DVDStore, DVDHits order never received, credit card charged, phone calls & e-mails unanswered-BEWARE & report fraud to cc company ASAP - Internet
I placed my order for the Felicity DVD Set on 12/5/07, but never received the confirmation e-mail they promised. My credit card was charged for $128.72 on 12/7/07, which was actually more than the original total given when the order was placed. When I didn't receive the order within the 12-14 days promised, I contacted their Live Chat on 12/20/07 and was told my order was shipped on 12/15/07 and given a tracking # with canadapost.ca. However, when tracked, it said my # was not in their system.
After MANY attempts to call them, I finally spoke with someone on 12/27/07 and was told my order shipped on 12/15/07, but because of Christmas there were delays in delivery. They said I should expect it sometime that week. So.... I waited.
On 12/31/07 at 11:04 p.m. (working on New Year's Eve???) I received an e-mail stating that my credit card had been processed and my order would be shipped (it was actually processed on 12/7/07). Then, I received the exact e-mail again on 1/1/08 at 8:44 a.m. (wow, what dedicated employees...working on New Years Day! ha). I then received an e-mail on 1/2/08 at 3:13 a.m. that my order had been shipped and they gave the same tracking # that I had been given when they said it was shipped on 12/15/07. Once again, the # was not in canadapost.ca's system.
I made several calls to them during this time, but was never able to speak to a live person. I left numerous voice mails requesting information, but never received a return call or e-mail. On 1/8/08 I sent them a very detailed e-mail requesting information and told them I would give them a couple of days to straighten out my order and contact me and then I would consider legal actions. BIG SURPRISE....I got no response!
On 1/9/08 I spoke again with someone on Live Chat and asked for a physical address for the company, but was told they couldn't give out that information. I asked how I could speak with management and was given the phone # that is never answered, except by voice mail that says no one is available. I was told my order had been shipped and given the same tracking #. When I told her that it was invalid she said it was because of a delay because of the holidays. She said she would do an update with Canada Post and get back to me. Again, BIG SURPRISE...never heard from them!
I then started researching and found this site. Wish I had found it before I ordered!!! I will be consulting it in the future before placing orders online with companies I'm not familiar with. I see that many others have been dealing with the same frustrations. Luckily, I have Fraud Protection with my credit card company. I was able to dispute the charge and get my money back. I kept very detailed information of all my correspondence. If anyone who wasn't able to recoup their money wants to fight these creeps and my input would help, let me know!
