I purchased "Daisy" from Dyann Callahan in April 2014 and she was to be shipped to me in May. Daisy was never shipped after repeated "attempts" by Ms. Callahan and it was decided - against my will- that the dog was to be transported via Uship to my home in Idaho from Kentucky after three months of "oh she'll be there next sunday". I emailed Ms. Callahan in late August informing her I wanted my money back and had never received the dog. According to Ms. callahan, the drivers had made "several" attempts to contact me - which they had not because I hadn't heard anything from anyone- and Daisy had been shipped the day before without my consent. However, I'm certain she was never shipped because I to this day hadn't received her. Dyann told me that I was "cyberbullying" her when i told her I wanted a refund and was planning on filing a complaint with the BBB for the horrendous service she provided. She doesn't return my phone calls or emails anymore.

This morning, the BBB in Louisville informed me that the mail they had been sending Ms. Callaham regarding the claim I had filed was being returned to them several times so they were forced to close out the claim without resolving it. I am beyond frustrated and feel completely taken advantage of. This has been an emotional roller coaster for my family and myself and I haven't done anything to Ms. Callahan but provide the finances she required in order to purchase the puppy that I never received. I simply want my money back and legally do whatever it takes to ensure that Ms. Callahan doesn't scam anyone else.

This was the most dumbfounding experience, and I was stunned to see the half truths and lies above, and of course the leaving out of any of her actions or responsibility in this. If this was an item, or book thats one thing. This is a living animal, so lying about the homelife and making the dog wait like this is beyond forgivable.

I am just going to list the inaccurate reportings, and I responded to BBB 3 days ago, but since Cindy Montoto has listed a party who hasnt been in the country for 4 years in her complaint on a 4 month old dog, that may be why they closed it.

On Oct 22nd, again she acknowledged the shipping was prepaid through uship so she understand she wont get a refudn on that or a deposit, but she was offered the balance. So to see once again, she didnt GET the dog when I went crazy trying to locate the driver to turn around as Cindy Montoto said she didnt "authorize" her to be shipped by Uship. Even though she PAID shipping through Uship and we ran an ad to get a driver through Uship.

I will start at beginning as on Oct 22 she slipped up and it came to my attention she lied to avoid terms on BUYING a puppy on my website. She had said she had anxiety and when the time came to ship after 6 weeks of $50 payments, she then wanted to have the airline pay the dogs way, as she had a 'prescription' then a few days ago she then said it was for depression and sent me a informational package on the type she has, with the last symptom of 4 being "suicidal thoughts and actions" as well as lack of care in daily routines and chores. If she had been honest at first, i would not have placed a dog with her, and we do not place with smokers either as my father in law had a stepdaughter stab him when she had bipolar episodes so itsa personal choice of a home for a 3 lb puppy.

We did hire and book drivers, the money goes into escrow from Cindy Montoto, ist a public site and you can go see them now. The drivers would call Cindy Montoto and she would dodge the phone, so they refused to deliver without contact as once again its a live animal. One was cancelled on a sat for sun delivery as she was expecting her then in middle of night files for a refund, so no that day she didnt ship. She then contacts me why and I told her with an open refund we do not ship, as part of that is what pays DRIVER.

Cindy disappeared for 6 weeks and I finally saw her online and sent her a message I am sending her and the driver will be calling her and she will be there within 5 days and is IN TRANSIT. She then calls back to say she didnt authorize her to be shipped and would refuse her. It was urgent as we were renewing and its $250 deposit per dog! i didnt want to keep her any longer and foot vet bills while this unstable person OWNED her.

So to read her that she STILL DOESNT HAVE her is so astounding and maddening, she refused the service she paid someone for and he had to bring her back. She waited about 48 hours to respond to make sure she was on the way, and I honestly think she hoped it couldnt be stopped as the wording of 'i didnt authorize that'...shipping when she PAID shipping was to get her money back and get the dog. Yes if you REFUSE to accept the animal, and put in writing you will refuse them and no longer want them, they get sent back.

3 days ago again, I offered her the balance past deposit and shipping per the terms of our website. She then said she had depression and I think that explains the convoluted emails, messages and dropping off the earth for days, the dodging of phone calls, and the expecting people to do the opposite of what you say you want. I have nothing against depression BUT in this instance it made me reflect on HOW Cindy Montoto came to me.

She claimed to be ripped off by a crested breeder, as she had the dog 2 months and it died and claimed it had been sick. BUt she wont give me the breeders name or any vet info, and well in light of dealing with her I do not see why shes hiding anything. I do have to wonder the truth as now its my turn to be the one who made her a victim. I cant just have a driver drive by and throw her on the lady's porch, if she wont accept the dog and says she wont- when services are being rendered she paid for....yes the dog came back and is not there.

I dont see how she could even type about the dog not being there....after refusing her! Its in writing. Text with dates and times..,,just as it was a text doesn’t mean I didn’t keep it or it didn’t happen. I really think someone needs their meds adjusted as this has been irrational with a cycle of up to 100 emails a day then nothing for a few weeks. I have offered her the balance, minus shipping as that was prepaid and done by HER by company she CHOSE...minus nonrefundable deposit. She refuses that, but the terms of any of my dogs going anywhere even if FREE are on my website. The terms for refunds, shipping, and costs also. Also, if the dog is abandoned here like this, boarding fees of $8 a day will accrue as this is nuts.

But I think she lied about what her mental condition was for a reason, as it states on my site that she wouldnt go to a home in that case so she misrepresented her home and the life of my dog, and that is addressed on my site also. I didnt know that till Oct 22, and when I addressed it- she filed this.

But yes, to see her ruminate why the dog isnt there when she BLATANTLY refused her delivery by stating "she didnt authorize" her being shipped that way....when I have been footing the dogs care and vet bill trying to get her there...I just am astounded at the mental state to even say that.

 Since it became obvious she was dodging confirmation by the drivers, and wanted to be "surpized" as she wouldnt answer to confirm delivery, that she wanted to play on the old belief that if you get something you say you didnt want, or didnt order you can keep it FREE. She paid shipping for Uship to UShip and offered her address and phone to them, so she was more than aware she was authorizing this dog to be shipped and to stop it in mid track- when the shippers record pick up and all info through the site- and have him turn around...and then state on her the dog didnt come yet.....I think that speaks wonders on the stablity of the home and I requested the name of the breeder who sold Cindy Montoto a dog - chinese crested- that died within weeks of her caring for it, I didnt know till after just as i didnt know about her mental disability as she lied about it...please call me.
