Brandon, I'm writing in response because a similiar situation happened with me. Since your incident happened a while ago, I'm hoping you resolved your issue. If not, I hope my advice helps you and anyone else who has a problem with any irresponsible company. I highly recommend resolving the complaint in local court. Local courts are typically known as small claims court or district judges and the plaintiff must file a small fee for the hearing. Having one's case heard before a judge offers three benefits: 1) the Defendant must appear in court or automatically have a ruling passed against him in default 2) The Plaintiff can seek both damages and any legal fees involved with the case (i.e. the hearing filing fee, lawyer fees) 3) A lawyer doesn't have to be present. I found this method effective because the accused party settled out of court with me in an attempt to save face. Please keep in mind that this strategy represents a method of last resort. Please follow these instructions only if the other means of mediation (i.e. BBB, State Attorney General Office) fail. Good luck seeking justice.
