Earls Wrecker Service Dishonestly Removed Vehicle Wilmington, North Carolina
I am writing this report due to the level of dishonesty and malicious scavenging of car owners this company's name has come to represent. My individual story consists of being given information of where to park by Earl's Towing for them to go back on their word and tow my friend's car. The details: Earl's has advised on several occasions for my visitors to either park in the "Future Residents" parking or to call ahead with license information, when all the visitors parking is full. However, today Earl's has decided that's it's not acceptable to park in "Future Residents" and have towed my friends car.
I contacted Earl's Towing only for them to tell me "You should have gotten a parking pass." Who is able to get a parking pass at 10 o'clock at night? Why should I have to when I was told it was acceptable to park in "Future Residents" parking space? Also, this parasitic company will park illegally across the street (what we would get towed for) and have their boy creep around the parking lots with a flashlight in search for vehicles.
Anytime I have contacted Earl's Towing, the employees are completely disrespectful. When I have informed them that there are no more parking spaces, I get responses such as the following: "I was just out there, there are plenty of visitor spaces, you don't want to walk," or "you should have a parking pass." Now, this is a college town and the majority of visitors only come in the evening, hence, no parking pass when the office is closed. I am completely fed up with Earl's Towing Service. This is a hard situation due the seeming prospect that the BBB will not handle such a "minor" complaint. However, when you have hundreds of angry citizens, it speaks ill of this cities and the apartment complexes ability to handle the vultures.
